I am torn when it comes to choosing either PS4 or Xbox One. Xbox One has changed it's policies which fixes it initial problems. People are bashing on it since it can watch TV along with gaming. Isn't that a good add on? Xbox One also has that game Titanfall which looks quite spectacular. But PS4 has better specs and has Killzone Shadowfall and Infamous Second Son, which look really good. PS4 also is a dedicated gaming console complete with spectacular social features. I really don't know which one sounds better. Another reason why I am thinking about Xbox One is because I have a 360, and I want to keep my achievements and such.

Anyways, I want to ask you guys, What are your opinions on the next gen consoles? Please, no fanboys.

Wii U. <--- IMO.

If you are more of a gamer then I recommend PS4, but if you like to watch TV I recommend Xbox One.

If you want a console that can do everything what a smartphone can do (aka. Casual player), get the None.

If you want a system that plays games and focused on games (aka. Hardcore players), get Wii U and/or PS4.

^ Geez, finally a PC gamer brags about the games. Most PC fanboys brags how much powerful than consoles, 4K resolution, and kinds of crap.

PS4, as Playstation has the best exclusives.

inFamous: Second Son looks mind-blowing, that's really the only reason I need to get the system. I've never understood why so few people play it compared to Killzone, God of War, and Sony's other ips, the inFamous games are amazing. inFamous 2's good ending is one of the best video game endings I've ever experienced.

And if Naughty Dog makes Uncharted 4, PS4 knocks Xbox One out of the park. Uncharted 3 is still the best looking game on console (Tied with The Last of Us) and the way Uncharted could use PS4's hardware is amazing. I'm hopeful, some people thought 3 was the end of the franchise, but they made Golden Abyss on Vita, and Nathan Drake also appeared in PSABR, so hopefully 4 is coming.

Xbox One has Titanfall and Dead Rising 3, but Titanfall could come to PS4 eventually.

Wii U I hardly even consider next gen, even if time says it is. None of its games are innovative and boundary pushing like the games the One and PS4 has. If you considering screwing around with a weird tablet device innovative, okay. And let's keep in mind 90% of Wii U games just use the Gamepad as a map.

I remember reading about how Dead Rising 3 is bigger than the last 2 in the series combined, how BattleField 4 has 64 player 60FPS online on PS4 and Xbox One, and how Fifa 14 on PS4/Xbox One has fully rendered 3D crowds in the latest Gameinformer.

Wii U has none of that, just shoddy ports of PS3/360 games, systems that will be done in 2-3 years, and underwhelming first party games.

How can None be better than the Wii U? Wii U sales went skyrocket after it's announcement, Ouya pre-orders are terribly beating None pre-orders.

None will terribly lose this 8th gen. It sucks so bad, they're not sure if they're gonna release it in Japan.

The WiiU will gain momentum, Nintendo is not one to single out easily. WiiU may not have the amazing specs that PS4 and Xbox have, but Nintendo is known for making quality games, that every gamer of every type can enjoy. Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros has been a gaming party's must have, since so many people can have fun with it.
pikarceus (2013-07-26 17:04:44)
@Nintendude-Wii U sales spiked after Xbox One but they've since gone down.

Xbox One no longer has DRM so I don't think Wii U stands a chance against it.

@mewtwo-1st party quality has gone down, lately all they've been doing is rehashing and playing it safe.

-NSMB 2
-NSMB U
-Super Mario 3D World
-Mario Party 3DS

I wouldn't consider those games to be very high quality.

Mario Kart I would consider to be decent quality, it looks like they actually are trying with 8.

SSB4 looks like it might be getting rushed, I hope that isn't the case.

Also, not every gamer can enjoy Nintendo's titles. Lately they've been failing miserably at scratching the more core gamer itches. They've become waaay too much casual. Obviously you need casual games but pretty much all their games have become casual aside from Zelda. (Last Metroid was released 3 years ago)

All their games also seem to have this awful-plasticy art style.

We need more games that look like Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword, I'm am sick of the art styles they use in the New Super Mario games and the Mario Party and Sports games. Super Mario 3D World uses it too, and it just looks so ugly. Please Nintendo, get out of 2006 already.
Nin10dude789 (2013-07-26 17:23:32)
How's Super Mario 3D World bad? Don't say it's a rehash because you can clearly compare and contrast with Super Mario 3D Land

Smash Bros has bin in development in a year. It started when Sakurai completed with KI:U in mid 2012. And maybe it will get delayed just like Brawl.

Nintendo didn't give that much info for Mario Party 3DS, yet, you're concluding it will fail.

Besides, I have to repeat this to you, generation is not about power, it's how you play. Nintendo did tried to change gameplay with the Game Pad. It looks like you didn't know this, but you don't have to use the Game Pad if you don't want to. You can always use the Pro Controller, Classic Controller, Wii Remote with or without Nunchuck. Or simply get the GameCube adapter on Amazon.

Dual Shock 4 seems the same as always, the only difference is the gimmicky touch pad. I can tell that feature won't be used as much, so Sony will make another Dual Shock without the pad.

People are still counting out WiiU, but I think that is very wrong considering Nintendo was one of the first developers out there. Nintendo always finds a way to satisfy everybody
mewtwo (2013-07-28 00:17:52)
People are just hating on Xbox because of the reveal event, even though Microsoft fixed all the initial problems
Gold (2013-07-28 01:56:05)
@mewtwo
A hate it for a bunch of other stuff.
mewtwo (2013-07-28 17:28:11)
Xbox seems to have pretty decent titles coming out like Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, ect. Exclusive don't always save a console

These flamewars are ridiculous. The arguments are good, but as espace said, we're basically arguing over toys.
The secret shall be shared. PM for more info.
