I'm sick of DSi noobs saying that 3DS is just a DS with 3D. No, it's not. So let's compare the 3DS and DSi.

Well, the main feature of the 3DS is the 3D, right? But that doesn't mean it can only play games in 3D, you don't have to use the 3D if you don't want to.

The 3DS has a library of it's own. It has:
Super Mario 3D Land
Star Fox 64 3D
Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Fire Emblem: Awakening
MarioKart 7
Resident Evil: Revelations
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

And awesome upcoming games like:
Super Smash Bros
Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright
Mario Party 3DS
Monster Hunter 4
And a lot more.

The 3DS is more powerful than the DSi because it can display full motion video, better graphics, and can handle big games.

The 3DS can download all sorts of games, Virtual Console games from GameBoy, GameBoy Color, Sega Game Gear, and NES games, and even classic DSiWare like X-Scape, Paper Airplane Chase, and even Mario vs DK: Mini March Again.

The 3DS has Netflix, so you can watch your favorite TV shows and movies. The DSiTube, and other video players for DSi will never happen because DSi cannot play any videos at all. No, Gif files are not videos.

3DS has exclusive features like StreetPass, the automatic wireless feature to get ghost data, rankings, and other stuffs. SpotPass, when near an Internet connection, the 3DS can automatically download games, apps, videos, and more. The DSi cannot do any of those features.

So there you have it. Hope you understand.

it doesnt have picto chat anymore but its still better. I have DSI XL which came with Mario kart. My 5 year old brother has a 3ds XL and im 10 but i got mines a few years ago i play on both his and mine he plays download play sometimes with me in Some DS games i have Scribblenauts Unlimited for 3ds and i play it on his 3ds XL i completed it.

Tell me, can a DSi run YouTube? Netflix?

How about games? Can it run Luigi's Mansion? Kid Icarus? Tekken? Smash Bros.?

No, it can't. DSi is too weak to run all those games and apps.

I still have my Wii. Really want to upgrade to a Wii U.
