The chats are during European afternoon mostly empty - except for Roleplayer. This is fine, if it wasn't for everyone that isn't roleplaying. And not that they are AFK; because I saw people that just entered the room without saying anything for half an hour, before leaving. I'm not trying to discourage people going to roleplayer, but encouraging those who don't roleplay to go to another hat just to.. chat. This should keep people longer active and spend more time on the site, and make them feel more comfortable in the chats. But we shouldn't force them; but give reasons why they should join the colored chats and why they are so great.

Agree or not? What are your ideas?

Dude, you're trying really hard right now. First, you want this website to expand in terms o the number of members being active to promoting regular chatting? I mean, yes, it is a great idea, but we can't do much anymore. We shouldn't encourage those, that is why chat moderators exist to do so.

You could give up, you could keep trying, but, I believe idea #1 and 2 will not come to pass. Well, maybe 2.

You think so? Surely am I not the only oner seeing Plaza as a home community, a cozy home. I feel that Plaza can be much greater if the community worked together.

Yeah I agree. I don't roleplay a lot, but the only chatroom that seems to be active is the Roleplayer.

To be honest, I let the roleplayers chat during the wee hours, since the chatrooms are usually empty, and moving chatrooms ruins the activity.

The chats AND the forums are part of Plaza. Chats & forums = Plaza. Plaza as a whole is great.
And the chats have to be active at all times. It's not like Plaza is totally dead at these times, because there are plenty of people online. They, for some reason, are repelled by the chats.

I'm asking for suggestions to make the chats more active/enjoyable, so give 'em.

I agree with Jason, in the sense that it'll be difficult to move chatroom activity during the 1am - 7am-ish parts, as none of the hardcore roleplayers are on at that time, and self RP-ing isn't very fun at all. However, I can give some reasoning as to why there's a lot of chatting in the RP room, {At least from my reasoning.} This is because some people don't know how to, or are too lazy to whisper, and a majority of former-RPer's friends still hang out in the RP room.

You people need to embrace that we are ONE community made by ONE leader and unify. We are all part of Plaza. There is nothing different to users in the chats as to you. Every part of the site is the same. The only difference is that the chats are direct and instant, while the forums are more permanent and allow for longer posts. What is the difference? It's all the same, on the same website, with the same members.
It's not ''the chats'' or ''the forums'', it's ''we''. This pathetic mindset may be the reason of Plaza's instability.
The only thing that is not the same are other communities. Like SN, or any other crappy wapka site. They are different.

Face your fellow members and use the chats for once. It's just another way of communicating to fellow Plazians.

I'll say it again: the forums are superior to the chats. They provide the same function as the chats, but with benefits such as the ability to make longer posts and the ability to view older posts.

The large amount of users that use both chats and forums isn't large enough.
We need more activity and making outrageous comments about the purpose of the media won't help.
