It's a movie set.
Blood doesn't splatter like that when you get shot/shoot yourself in the head. Also, the lamp isn't plugged in, which seems like a movie set error.
If the artist is just retarded, it's a murder because she's left handed and the gun is in her right. Nobody falls in that position either.

I was wondering that, too. I'd say she stood up, looking towards the plant, shot herself, hit the stool and unplugged the lamp, but the blood wouldn't have come out there. She could've been shot in the back of the head.

Then again, she could have turned around in the stool and shot herself. When she fell, she took the lamp cord with her.
