Milotic is already a stage hazard to premote ORAS btw. And Mewtwo is the most requested character. Deconfirming him would cause riots.

How? He's an overrated Pokemon from the most overrated generation that nobody cared about until now. Mewtwo is easily more popular and recognizable. As much as it hurts me to say this, Mewtwo is a deserving character. Sceptile is not. He wouldn't be added just to complete some unnecessary type triangle.

Sceptile is the most unpopular of it's trio

Usually it was Marth returning and the other FE character getting cut.
But we got 4 FE characters.

Mewtwo appeared in a recent Pokemon movie and got two mega evolutions.
Charizard gets two mega evolutions too
He's in Smash.
Mewtwo could balance things out.
