Leviathan (2014-10-07 04:04:44)When moderators are banned, I am the first to know. People randomly PM me screenshots of what happened. I was the first to know of Kira banning Carlos and Carter, comepletely unfairly. I agree with Carlos.
-------------------------------------
In my opinion, some mods should be replaced with better users. I mean Samurott was modded literally two weeks after showing up in the rp room. and Nothing but the RP room. As opposed to users who have been here longer such as LinkPG. All because Nait was too lazy to pick a qualified suitor.

I'm an open book, there are few questions I won't answer honestly, no matter how embarrassing.
As everyone always says, the favouritism (and discrimination) needs to stop. If we have moderators/admins who avoid biased decisions, we probably wouldn't have this much drama. (There's always going to be drama, so put the 'drama-free' fantasy aside)
I've heard from several users who said mods were more strict on them specifically because they argue a lot (giving the assumption that they dislike each other, and therefore discrimination). We all need to step back and take a general view of the circumstances before taking action....the same goes for non-privileged users who complain about the moderator's choice...(Even in the discrimination example above...it might not actually be that simple)
None of us want to be wrong, but we have to accept that we are wrong sometimes. When you understand that, you'll be more careful to do the right thing...especially if there were actually consequences for doing the wrong thing.
On that note, there needs to be more admin/CM involvement with the moderators. Mods get away with anything because they can get away with anything, unless enough users riot. The CM rarely ever makes his/her own decisions, it's always run by the users who just need to rant at the CM long enough until he/she complies. I think the users have every right to complain to the CM, but they shouldn't have to. It often seems like the CM just waits for users to riot instead of fixing problems before they get out of hand. I'm not talking about straight up demotions, just some reprimanding at the least.

Leviathan (2014-10-07 14:36:35)^this.
The immaturity and bias is my main problem with the moderation. Last night, I lost a friend that I have had for almost a year, because she hated somebody she has never met. I chose the side of the girl I just met, rather than the girl I have known for a long time, because she was right.
It may have cost me a valuable companion, but I still chose the side that was right. Which is much more than I can say for other moderators. I've seen moderators who have bypassed their asses off, only to ban somebody ten minutes later for bypassing the faggot sensor. Which infuriates me, because that drives users away. Since Kira was active again, I have seen a number of profiles that contain "I'm leaving because the moderators are mean to me." Which, granted, is childish, but the moderators are driving people out none the less. Same with several other recently active mods I won't mention.
Moderators need to step off their high horse, and realize that moderators are to moderate, not police.

Leviathan (2014-10-07 19:10:49)Quite the contrary. I only closely befriend staff members. It was primarily an anecdotal remark. Nothing to go bananas over, Nutsy.
Now leave it alone. Damn, son.

Leviathan (2014-10-07 22:50:52)Yes, of course. I took the oppurtunity to make a statement to the people who havebeen on my case about hinting and mod begging. Particularly that instance.
If you weren't serious, I would be worried.
Damn, son.

Did I not tell you guys?
I was banned for saying "Hi Scrotum."
Don't tell me that's fair, because then we might as well turn completely backwards-minded on everything else.
As I've said before, we have enough moderators in the forums. There are at least 5 too many in the chats.
When the majority of the forum dwellers are more active than I am, then will we need more mods.
