To tell you the truth, with pets it's almost impossible to convince your parents anything unless you pay for it. The only reason I got a new puppy was because the one I had since I was born died. There was always an empty spot with him gone so we had to get another. If you could find a breeder that ha the type of dog you want you could show your parents some information about it. But that's really all I have. It's really hard with pets

Do it the same way I did, show them you can grow a close bond! Also tell them that getting pets at young age makes them social! I did that, now a certain someone got his first land pet...
