I like Pewdiepie. He's entertaining. But I don't associate myself with the fanbase. The fanbase is horrible. The name "bro" makes me cringe.

The thing I like about Pewdiepie is that he's himself. He's not reading off a script (which a lot of youtuber gamers for some reason have one?) he's making his own immature jokes and playing games he wants to play. (besides the occasional sponsored ones)

Want to know something interesting? PewDiePie actually didn't become number one from being the most liked. What actually happened was since he had made videos in different countries for a while, he became international. With his channel having videos able to be seen in different countries, his view count went up like crazy and more od his videos were shown on the (I think it's called the "popular" section) page where everyone could see it.


From having so many subscribers in different countries, it's impossible for someone who only makes videos in America to get more views than him on a daily basis.

It would do you good to understand that he is a person that is not at fault for his popularity, the result of which is not harmful to lesser known youtubers. Instead of hating him, if anything, you should hate those who contributed to his popularity and gave rise to his prominence as a youtuber. In this case, the content's creator is not at fault for your not being pleased with its quality when millions of others are. In any case, what you're doing is absurd and here's why.

In my opinion, Pewdiepie played a big part in opening up this sector of the market. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't his popularity what allowed for youtube gaming to be profitable because so many people enjoyed his content and wanted more like it? If his success created a demand for similar content, then this means he opened up job opportunities for other youtubers that specialize in gaming.

Okay okay.
I used to hate PewDiePie, but then I realized something. Anyone who can attract 8-15 year olds at such a rate is a genius. The man is making millions of dollars from YT alone. No I'm not jealous of or hate him be because of his popularity, because the style of his content earned him it with a certain demographic. I do not enjoy his videos, but there's a begrudging respect I can hold for a man who knows how to tailor his content and make money in such a way.
