Alpaca (2015-11-26 20:40:48)Drak, the only people who want to live in a small town have never lived in one.
I'll admit... it's probably fun to just visit one because it's pretty quiet and there's lots of pretty nature to see.
But when anything fun is like 40-70 minutes away, everyone is a douche and often excuses it with religion or whatever, and there are stinky cows and whatnot like everywhere, and your whole town is like not even 3,000 people .... yeah... you'll be like...
I want to live in the suburbs.
Shalala (2015-11-26 20:53:00)^this pretty much, except I somehow like living in a small town. It's in the sticks of Louisiana, so it's exactly as you described, and yet I kinda like it?
Yeah it's boring, but considering I'm shy and my life revolves around the internet, I don't mind. if i'm gonna stay inside all day, i'd rather do it in a quiet neighborhood than a noisy city apartment

Boo (2015-11-26 20:58:08)My dad and mom used to live together until they divorced. My mom moved out, my dad still has the same house I'm laying in right now.

PrinceMurphy (2015-11-26 21:22:27)Well, I was born in Melbourne, Australia, raised there until I was about ten then moved to Canada, then to America. I still consider Melbourne my hometown, I miss it deeply and loved it there.

Flawless (2015-11-28 04:23:13)I've lived in
so what?
A little town in New Jersey. show
If I spend too long in NJ, I start picking back up the NJ attitude and it's not pretty. You need a NJ attitude to survive in NJ.
I wouldn't go as far to say I hate my hometown...It's my home, I've had my first 9 years of memories there, plus more to add each time I go to visit family. I certainly wouldn't want to live there again, nor would I suggest visiting if you have no reason to.

The farthest back in my life I have clear memories of is from when I lived in Shyan Whyoming. I'm not sure if I spelled "Shyan" right. It's a pretty nice place. I remember living close to the school I went to, "Dildine Elementary". The mascot was a dolphin.
I was a pretty weird kid. Mean too. Thankfully, I was a social butterfly.
There were tons of parks in that town that I liked going to. There were a lot of mountains. And bunnies. Bunnies all over the place. I used to chase them. I never was able to catch one though. I would sometimes get really close to catching one, but then when I had a perfect opportunity to grab it, I just didn't. Probably worried about hurting it or something.
The temperature was almost always perfect. Not too hot or cold. It was cool and windy, but in a good way. Winters would rip your balls off though.
Alpaca (2015-11-28 16:26:19)If I'm ever in a band I'll definitely make a song about why my hometown or just like my state in general sucks. Just like all the other punk bands lol.
The only good part of my state is the city.

I came from a tiny town in southern ohio that is full of drug addicts and people in various stages of poverty. I will never return.
