The data collected for it didn't take into consideration jobs, education, position, hours worked (not all jobs offer paid family leave), employers, etc. Additionally, women tend to take jobs with more flexible hours to make it easier to raise kids. The wage gap is due to choice, not discrimination. Not giving an equal pay has been illegal since 1963.

I'd like to see all the mouth breather feminists in the western world go over to Africa and the middle east with their protests, but they're apparently too busy trying to fix a non-existent pay gap, and get women the societal status of "exactly same as a man, but with boobs".
I think that's what angers me so much about modern feminism...they're essentially creating their own oppression for women who act womanly. "You want to stay home to clean the house and raise your baby? Idiot! You must not have gotten a good education." And that Dove "LikeAGirl" ad....they were shaming the fact that we view women as meek and gentle, as if those are bad traits, or if that makes men better than women. Fact is, most women are pretty girly....those who aren't make it clear that they're not and people acknowledge it...so instead of trying to change society's default view of women as people who are "just like men, but with boobs", leave it as it is because I'm proud of my feminity, and I shouldn't be shamed for wanting to identify with traditional gender roles.
I'm happy with the way society is right now...girls can be a tomboy if they want. They can join the police force, be a butcher, a carpenter, a lawyer, any other traditionally male role..and no one is going to stop them or judge them for it, as long as they can do it. Women can prove themselves to be whatever they want to be. Same goes for men with traditionally female roles, (mostly...haven't seen any literal play"boy"-bunnies yet).
Yet, I still feel like women are, at default. portrayed as feminine, in every definiton of the word...because again, most of us are delicate flowers who shave our legs and cringe at the thought of being involved in violence...and that's nothing to be ashamed of.
But when feminists are crying about female video game character's stances being "too feminine", it's pretty clear they believe being feminine doesn't make our worth equal to men. They're essentially making sexism worse that way...they're acting as if men inherently are better, and women need to be just like men to earn our worth or something. Instead of, I don't know...celebrating our differences to have the same value as men?
....On a side note, congress is now reviewing a bill that will require women to sign up for the draft. Now when you lose daddy to the war draft, you'll lose mommy too. Thanks, feminism.

Anyways, I don't think feminists are shaming feminity. They're shaming the notion that being a female means you HAVE to be feminine and that being feminine means being less than men. Contrary to what you said, they're not leading on sexism. I dislike Dove's LikeAGirl campaign, tbh, but there is a point to it. Everyone's heard the phrase "You hit like a girl," right? But why should it be an insult to hit like a girl? Yeah, females are generally more delicate, but using "like a girl," implies that being a girl or doing something like a girl is inherently worse.
And the video game character thing? Nobody is crying over female characters being to feminine. They're "crying" over the characters being too sexy. They want badass, smart women who don't have to be fanservice to be in the game. Take Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6 for example. She's feminine, she wears yellows and pinks, she's likable, but she's also smart and awesome.. Feminists love her. Honey Lemon's no tittymonster, either, but it's also Disney movie so we don't have to worry about that.
There's also Tomago(?), she's a qt badass tomboy. She's not feminine but she's still a lovable female character. Heck, in plenty of video games, those fanservice girls' femininity only go as far as their bodies.. Which is also implying that women's bodies are sexual objects. I agree with you here, but the phrase is being used to insult girls. And it's not just being used for women doing guy-dominated things. Take (female) track for example, I've heard coaches telling their girl players that they run like a girl... What??
