Deedslaker7 (2013-10-28 07:30:05)1: talisman's abilities don't do anything unless they have +10. that can be achieved through forging decorations and slotting them into your gear and occasionally your weapons.
2: bring antidotes. poision is OP AF in mh3u
3: EAT FOOD. the stuff boosts your health by almost half at max. 5 stars=max health.
4: run and heal on the bed when you need to.
5: watch his attack patterns.
i have had the game for about 4 weeks with about 210 hours on it. i'm at HR7 at port tanzia, no multiplayer. god this game would be addicting if wifi was enabled.

Anyone else find those 3-Monster quests in HR 8 quests helpful for rare item farming and HRP(Hunter Rank Points)? I got a Zinogre Skymerald, Rathian Mantle, Lagiacrus Mantle, and a Rathalos mantle from 2 quests(Lagiacrus, Brachydios, Rathalos in 1 quest, and Zinogre, Rathian, Nargacuga in another one). I'm HR 38, so 4-5 runs (2 or 3 with meal Felyne Exchanger skill) would get me to 40, and then I could fight Lucent Nargacuga, one of the best monsters in the game.
I've got nothing good to put here.

^Bomb casings can be bought from Granny. If you need them fast,go to moga woods or misty peaks and look for plants. When I needed them I bought a bunch and now I'm good.
