I've watched MLP from G1 and I've never taken it as seriously as some of you guys do, because:
It's a kid's show.
The theme is friendship. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but there are a lot of better shows with better themes.
Episode plots are pretty good but they started getting predictable after a while.
Rainbow Dash was actually my favorite character for several months until how she treated Applejack and Fluttershy. IMO, real friends shouldn't opt to leave another behind just because she might get in the way. But RD came through in the end and I guess I'm okay with that.
I also go between loving and hating Rainbow Dash but she still remains my least favorite character, because, frankly, she seems rather shallow.
As for Rarity? I just don't like her tendency to be dramatic and whiny. She's pretty nice a lot of the time, though.
Also, I've noticed there are NO disagreeals on Pinkie Pie! She should be our mascot.

HanShotFirst (2014-04-02 01:17:24)Just wanted to point out that one of my favorite RPGs has a quest chain which is a parody of MLP:FiM. One of which results in an Element Seeking pet, and the other with a Misc. Item with varying effects.
