Anyways, I encountered my first Zinogre...

I wasted 10 mega potions and I wasn't close to beating him.

^My advice on Zinogre:

Items to bring:

Book of Combos 1&2
10 Mega Potions
10 Potions
10 Honey
10 Well-Done Steaks
20 Whetstones
A good Longsword.

(Optional items):

10 Herbs
10 Blue Mushrooms

Combine the honey and potions as you run out of Megas, and then herbs and shrooms if you're doing that badly.

I also recommend eating a meal at the itinerant chef's place (or tavern if in Tanzia). Eat the highest star fish item and the highest star bread item, and go through the skills until you find Felyne Defender (Hi) (It will be a fixed skill). Eat the food.

Whenever the Zin starts howling and powering up, go unleash some spirit blade combos on its tail.
(If you break a body part while its in hyper mode, it'll flash out of it)


I strongly recommend you get the full regular Urugaan armor set and the Diapason sword. The total defense, coupled with an Armor Charm from the Argosy will be 500+. (This was the armor I used for pretty much all of High Rank)

And yes, I do love Nargacugas. Nargacuga was hard. Mainly because I had tears in my eyes I was trying to cut off his tail.

His weapons look cool, though. But I'll stick with slime.

I was close to getting the Nether Katana but I chose to get the S.Zinogre LS insted. I did even wanna try soloin' the A.Lagi I just knew I was gonna get destroyed in the first 20min.
