If the creator has enough time to create better graphics, for instance extremely textured NPCs and what have you, more power to them. But sometimes, if getting the game sooner than 2016 means crappy overused NPCs, I think I can stand it. That doesn't mean I want crappy graphics, but I care more about the story and gameplay than anything else.

@mega-The fact that Ace Attorney 5 is M shows that the ESRB is a joke and shouldn't be taken seriously. Dead or Alive 5 shouldn't be M either, it's not any more inappropriate than a trip to the beach. Not to mention Senran Kagura: Burst, which is far more suggestive, is only T.

On art style...it helps. Wind Waker aged well because of the cel shading. Not everything needs to be super-realistic but some games need it. The Last of Us wouldn't be the same if it was cartoony.

The Walking Dead is interesting though as it is cel shaded and is still a very dark game.
