Online dating is for little kids.
Ayy Lmao.

So many Too Long; Did not Read! comments.

I don't understand the point of long distance relationships. I mean, you can't hold the person, can't hug 'em, can't really do anything with them other than talk. So what's the goddamn point?
I miss you

Dang, this is some real Connecticut Yankee crap.

I must say this. Arin Hanson and Suzy Berhow are proof that young love and long distance (in a case where they meet irl first) can last.

Suzy was 13, almost 14, and Arin was 16. They met at an anime convention. While both of them lived in Florida, they lived 4 hours apart. She did get to see him one week each month but other than that, they did a lot of talking on the phone (keep in mind this was when you did more talking on the phone than online. this was about 13 years ago, guys. this was about the time that the only way people would really talk online is through aim... and Suzy said they'd talk on the phone mostly.. idk).

To this day, Suzy and Arin are now a happily married couple at 26 and 28 who live together with two kitties named Mochi and Mimi in Glendale, California.

They give me hope.

Well they got to see each other for a week a month, that's actually quite often. And four hours isn't really a long distance relationship imo. It's easy to meet up halfway. But if someone lives across the country or in another country, that's what I'd consider long distance.

I am the lizard king, I can do anything.

Well it's at least proof that young love exists.
Nemesis (2015-10-18 21:29:01)
Of course it does. In very, very low numbers.

I think it's fine as long as you plan on meeting irl and as long as you're 18 or over.

As experience with Internet romance (across the country pretty much), it's not very satisfying because you have a wish to make this person and be intimate but you can't, especially if you're a teenager.

Even if you're not a teenager, it's still ing expensive to travel...

Perfect_Chaos (2015-10-18 22:42:31)
Not to mention most are just desperate cuz they can't get one irl.

As for traveling, it's just something you'd have to do if you want the relationship to go anywhere.

On my very second day of being on this website, I got in a "relationship" with the user moop70. I was 13.

I looked at her Facebook. She's become pretty attractive.

Dating on the Internet just isn't satisfying imo. Some people can find it satisfying but I can't.

I have a long distance relationship with my penis.

>If there's no physical touch, it's not a relationship

Really? Grow up, children.

Relationships aren't for physical attention, that would be known as "friends-with-benefits" otherwise. Having a relationship with someone to the point you consider them closer than a friend and rather a partner, is companionship. You're there to take care of each other, not to satisfy hormones. While physical interaction does happen in most relationships, it should never be the sole purpose of it. So that being said, online relationships can very well happen legitimately. You can laugh together, talk together, encourage, inspire, etc...that can just as well be love.
