The writer of that Heaven is for Real book admitted to it being faked. The hell thing, maybe some inner fear of being wrong and getting sent to hell. Hallucination stuff.

I'm not religious, so I'm asking you guys about this (Christians specifically): does the Bible say you're judged ~immediately after death or during the Revelations, with everyone else alive?

@ Meia

The Bible seems to indicate that our fate is determined before judgement, according to our salvation. There are some verses that refer to Christian's names being written in "the book of life", which essentially means you have favor with God and will go to Heaven...the verses imply that your name would be written before you die, if you're a believer.

"For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" (2Peter2:4)
Though this is just about angels (who recieve different treatment from us), this might indicate that we're immediately punished before judgement day.

Likewise, Paul and other prophets seemed convinced that they would be in the presence of the Lord immediately upon death, that is, they were certain they would be in heaven the moment the die.

What the Qur'an teaches about the life after death is very terrifying.. The Qur'an says even if you're a Muslim, your life after death solely depends upon your deeds.

Time in the grave: When you will be left in the grave two very strict angels (Munkar and Nakir) are going to come and ask three questions. They will want immediate answers.
Q1: Who is your Lord?
Q2: Who is your prophet?
Q3: What is your religion?

The answers they want:
A1: Allah.
A2: Muhammad (PBUH).
A3: Islam.

Nothing else.

If the answers satisfy Munkar and Nakir, a voice will be heard "Leave this person alone as he is speaking the truth." The two will leave.

If the answers don't, the voice will order to punish the person by hitting with a hammer type thing Munkar and Nakir will be holding.

After that a person will appear, the person's face will depend on the deeds of the dead. He'll say "I am your deeds and I will stay with you here until the day of judgement."

Damn Muslims.

I believe it just matters on what you believe.

I believe you go to different places based on your religion. If you're Buddist, you go to Buddist heaven. If you're Christian, you go to Christian Heaven. That, or reincarnation. (I don't mind reincarnation. Maybe if you're bad, you're born as a female chicken so you have to go through painful childbirth for the rest of your life.)
If ye wish to talk to me, xbox app (or XBOX itself), my gamertag is Godhydra.

Everyone can't be right, though...all religions pretty much contradict each other. Also, would that mean athiests go nowhere and just cease to exist? If you believed in reincarnation, would that mean you're guaranteed to be reincarnated?

^You'd be surprised how alike many religions are. Concepts are very similar, and morals are too. Not trying to group anyone together though.

However, you're definitely correct; not everyone could be right. And true, where would athiests go? What about agnostics?

But I also kind of see what Hydra's saying. Ultimately your life is about you. You are the creator of the events and consequences and successes, not a mystical force in the clouds. What if there was some type of power everyone possesses to make their own "realities", after death?

'Atheists/agnostics' go back in time.

To the beginning of the Universe.

To the Big Bang. Which is an orgy of all of them, creating life for all the Universe.

Spoiler: show
But since the Big Bang didn't actually happen...

I just hate that a lot of people try to make other people to believe that god is real. First of all, you dont know if got is actually real, there is no evidence and no the bible is not evidence because you dont know if it was made by a crazy person. Although we are going to see if he is real when we are all dead but seriously, dont think about that god is real or not, just enjoy life and make it last. Me, I don't know if I do believe in him and it kinda bothers me but not too much.

Woahwoahwoah SMO I for once agree with you! Wow! This is a miraculous evening. People have no business shoving their beliefs in faces and trying to force others to convert. You'd think people would have their organizations stop it because it rarely works anyway, if even at all. I also agree that you shouldn't dwell upon things you don't know. It's healthy to wonder but not to obsess.
