I awoke in my room, with Turtwig on my chest. He awoke, and decided to actually use my Ti-fi power. My arm began glowing, and I started speaking.

"Hello?"

You don't have to speak aloud.

Yes. Now... hai! Any specific reason you want me?

Um... what do you even do all day?

I'm part of a mystery dungeon exploration team. OH RUNNING LATE AT THE GUILD!

Turtwig bolted out of the room and down the hall, leaving a hole in the door that quickly repaired itself.

Uh... okay then...

I made my way out of bed, selected a pair of sweatpants and a Pac-Man shirt once more, then made my way to breakfast.

I passed several people that shot me thumbs ups, and high fives claiming to have loved my actions in challenges. I opened the door only to find a green rhinoceros charging full speed at the table, which was full of people attempting to escape. I screamed in Ti-fi
"STOP! What's the problem?

The Rhinoceros set its sights on me, and it seemed to have screamed in english. I could barely make out a sound like "TIEDINS"
Tied ins?

I broke out of the breakfast room, and it burst through, then began once more charging at me. I ran up the steps and it fell, barely missing Justin the host.

"What are you doing here Be-" he was cut off by a loud roar.

The rhino set off after me again, and I ran up the stairs and turned the hall. After 5 minutes it seemed as though the Rhino must have given up trying and gone back to the breakfast room. A green monkey seemed to make its way out of the breakfast room though. I walked towards it and before I could talk, it morphed into a Gorilla, then launched a punch. I backed up, barely evading the punch, and ran the opposite direction.

I sprinted over obstacles as the gorilla chased me. I leaped a pit, then turned around to see the gorilla preparing to jump. I leaped and kicked off its chest, sending it down the pit. It was safe, because of the trampoline at the bottom of all the pits.

I got enough lift to touch the light, and drain its power. It quickly refilled with light in a failsafe plan.

The gorilla bounced up and punched me into a wall, but since the whole hall was basically a gymnastics mat, I was fine... except one thing.

A gorilla just punched me... it couldve easily killed me. This one isn't after that.

I lay on the ground, and pretended to be hurt. The gorilla lifted me and I placed a hand on its wrist. Then I used the energy from the light, and a little from my own body, to shock it unconscious.

I landed and looked at what I expected to be a gorilla... it was a boy. A green boy... oh god no. It wasn't talking about "tied ins"... that was a stupid inference. It- no he...

...was screaming Titans

"Justin don't play with me! Where's Beastboy?!??!"

I heard an intense fight, and things breaking. I slid down the rail leading downstairs and jumped off landing on Robins staff, which he used to block.
SWOOSH

He swung, but I dodged it, then punched him in the chest. He swung once more sending me back a little. Justin held out his hand and a beam shot to my arms. My forearms turned black, although my tattoo and it's glow remained green. He laughed then his voice shifted to that of Shao Kahn.

Fight!

I dashed at Robin, but he ducked as Cyborg shot a blast at me. I held out one hand and absorbed the shot. Robin threw severa: batarangs at me, but I dodged. One hit my arm, but shattered.

Now I see... my arms are invincible...

I charged Robin, and started slowly expelling the absorbed energy from my fists, giving them a green glow. Robin and I went at it, and Cyborg fought with Justin, but was subdued by an electric shock. I swung so hard that Robin dropped his staff, and the added energy sent him flying into a wall. He nimbly landed with his feet on the wall and charged at me. Suddenly Raven was seen flying throughout the air, and Robin leaped off of her back, and attempted to dropkick me. He missed, but quickly overpowered me at hand to hand. I was running out of energy. He palmed my chest, and my concentration broke, releasing all the energy I got from Cyborg. He launched a kick, but I grabbed his foot and swung him in circles then released sending him flying at Starfire who just entered.

Raven changed her focus from Justin to me. She lifted me from the ground, and I was surrounded by darkness. I activated my tattoo and began absorbing the dark energy. I released it as pure light, and Raven fell to the ground, but then shot several blasts at me. I ran at them, and absorbed them all, then she lifted me again. I struck her with lightning and she fell unconscious. I looked at Justin and saw that he had already had enough time to beat the others, and make a delicious sandwich.

"FOOOOOOD!" I screamed, and ran at him. He held the sandwich out, and I ate it. My arms reverted back to normal. Then a red flash of light sped by, and all the Titans disappeared. Justin shot me with energy, but after another flash of light, he flew unconscious into a wall.
A third and my sandwich was gone.

This meant war.

Time began momentarily slowing down. That was probably Justins plan. I saw The Flash running at me, and I swung a supercharged fist fist at him. He flew back slowly, but I grabbed his foot and swung him upwards. I shot several bolts of energy and he fell to the ground and time started speeding up. I kicked his face and he was knocked out. A man in a cape entered the room. He floated towards me and looked me directly in my eye. He attempted to grab my shirt collar, but I palmed his chest and absorbed the energy from it. How much energy did he have?!? He said something that made me reverse the flow of absorbing and give him his energy back.

"Oh no... Kryptonite!"

He fell to the ground, and then held an arm out to see if I'd help. I did, and he thanked me, but then proceeded to ask me for help.

"I need you to do something for me... it'll be quick. There's a problem and I don't know what, but apparently there's talk of it around Gotham... especially their criminals. They've all given me the same smir-"

Aaron I may be able to help! I'll get you there quick!

"P-Palutena?! Are you following me?"

I've been watching you ever since you left!

"Geez Lady! I've taken showers..."

Yes, very impressive. Now let's get you to Metropolis!

A doorway appeared in front of me. It had no door and was completely blue. I stepped forwards and upon entering it, I immediately began plummeting helplessly towards a futuristic town.

Metropolis...

"HELP WOULD BE NICE! Uh... happy thoughts, happy thoughts."

My arm began glowing.

OH COME ON!

Aaron... I cant help you when that's happening. I can send someone you'll probably be glad to see again!

The light began glowing sharply. I still plummeted to Metropolis and showed no signs of slowing. Suddenly a familiar face made a show. Surrounded by a green aura, Palutena must have been helping them fly.
"Miss me bro?"

RYAN!

"Yes!!! Now match my speed so you can sl-"

The light on my arm suddenly surged. I felt a grasp on my ankle, then I slowed down, but immediately began falling again. When the light faded, I saw Ryan falling too. I looked down and saw we were above water though.

"Thanks for the move!"
"No problem... only now my tattoo is doing that thing."

My tattoo began glowing again! Ryans did too.

I hit the water with a splash, Followed by Ryan. Since I couldn't swim, I sank... Ryan looked at me and immediately grabbed my arm. I used my own energy to send a beam of extreme negative temperature. I felt ice underneath us, and we were lifted to the surface on a large platform of ice.

I gasped for air, and coughed up water, then I sat up.
"Well... I guess that was nice!" I said.

"What do you think the new tattoo does?" Ryan began, "I mean if going to a new area unlocks the next tattoo, then we should've gotten another by now."
"No idea Broseph" I replied, "I hope it's cool though!"
We hopped off the glacier as it neared Metropolis.

I'll show you where it is now! With a little help from- oh wait. You can walk. It's in the center of Metropolis, I'll mark it's location in the sky.

A large beacon shot down and sat in the center of Metropolis.

Watch out though... you have an hour, before... the nuke goes off.

Yeah, so I'm running low on ideas, so I'd like some tattoo power ideas. Anything would be useful.

We made our way to the bomb, but I couldn't quite figure out what to do when we got there.

Me:WHAT DO I DO?!?!
Ryan: HOW SHOULD I KNOW!?!
Me: Uhm... I got an idea! There's a cord, so some idiot must've plugged it in!
Ryan: This is a lazy plot twist...

I ignored him and followed the path made by the cord. I stepped on the cord, then yanked it, causing the internal wires to split. I placed my palm on it, and then started sapping energy from the bomb... but it just kept coming. I must've been leeching an infinite source of energy. Suddenly the flow stops and I'm left holding a powerless cord, and Ryan is holding q glowing green rock.

Kryptonite!

I was startled.

"Palutena?! You shouldn't surprise people like that!" I said, "So he should drop it ri-"

I was interrupted by a huge bright glow, as Ryan dropped the Kryptonite, and it stopped glowing. He looked invigorated... and off.

He fell down unconscious, and began emitting a glow of blue. His tattoo flickered before stopping...

He was dead

Suddenly his tattoo glowed and I was blinded by the glow. I passed out due to shock and when I woke up, I was in a hospital bed.

I couldn't see past the surrounding curtains, but I was still fully clothed, which was a good sign in my book. I got out of the hospital bed, and felt a sharp pain on the inside of my elbow. I obviously was connected to machines. I parted the curtains and on the other side there was a horribly dirty area. It was absolutely nothing like usual, as the area I woke up in was unhealthily clean. This was terrible... also one more look at my forearm revealed that...

My tattoo was gone

"Ryan! RYAN!" I screamed, hearing no response. "Damn..."

I collapsed to my knees and began bawling my eyes out in tears. Ryan must have gotten too much energy for his body to handle... but

"Aaron!?! This place is so clean!" I heard, "It's like a dream!"

Another opening curtain revealed Ryan to be alive and well, and he took in the sights of the horrible setting change.

"You know, you shouldn't be crying. It's just a setting change..."

I laughed and he helped me up. We made our way out of the hospital and out into the open. There was a large field and a dark forest. A loud echoing noise shouted

"ALL CONTESTANTS HAVE ENTERED THE ARENA! IN THE MORTAL WORLD, YOU HAVE ALL DIEF, BUT ONLY 2 MAY LIVE. THE FIGHT FOR YOUR LIVES HAS BEGUN!

"W-wait... Ryan, do you have your tattoo?" I asked

"Come to think of it, I don't. What's going on?!?"

I looked at my forearm, then Ryan and broke the news.

We're dead.

Summary

Aaron wakes up one day to realize that he's been kidnapped and entered into a competition where he's placed into different situations and must complete tasks. He also was given a special tattoo that grows when he's happy he enters specific areas granting him special abilities. He quickly befriends Ryan, and is prompted to go eat breakfast where he discovers that the entire mansion is rigged with challenges to maneuver. ...during breakfast they kill a lion... first challenge...

Zach, John, Aaron, and Ryan go out.
See what I did there? Well basically Aaron is knocked out by Trainer Red, and awakens in a breaking hospital. He saves a Turtwig who befriends him, and spares Reds life.
Done

During that time, Ryan is put to another challenge since his tattoo didn't grow to give him a power.

Kid Icarus
Aaron, Ryan, and new friend/contestant Maria are selected to parttake in a Team Deathmatch in a the same Kid Icarus fashion, but one of the opposing team is a Pit constructed of Aurum tech. It's OP Beam Claws allowed him to run with over 9000 horsepower, and it bested everyone but Aaron out of pure opportunity. Aaron did not opt to spare this one, so it died. He passed out and was given a health boost to heal. Later he and Pittoo go into the Mushroom Kingdom to assist their battle against the Locust Drones. Since this area unlocked a power, the game host (Justin) put in a challenge which Aaron completes.

Aaron gains leech ability which allows him to absorb any type of energy, then expell it in whichever element he'd like.

Not willing to fall behind, Ryan goes for another challenge too (offscreen)

...plot... Aaron finishes challenge... goes back to the Mansion... Justice League appearance... Titans... more plot...

All in all, Aaron and Ryan travel to Metropolis to prevent a nuke from going off and successfully prevent Injustice: Gods Among Us from taking place. The bomb was powered by Kryptonite, and Aaron and Ryan absorb too much for their bodies to accept, then die of power overload. After awakening in a place I'd opt to call purgatory, it seems as though they're in another competition. Due to budget cuts, no moar Palutena for a long while. If I knew about TWEWY (The World Ends With You) I'd crossover right now. I don't know about that game, so I'll find one set in Purgatory and do a lot of research.

"There only ARE 2!" I shouted.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW?"

"I-I didn't idiot... what am I- are WE supposed to do?"

"SIMPLE JUST PUT YOUR LEFT HAND IN, THEN PUT YOUR LEFT HAND OUT!"

As I followed the instructions Ryan chuckled, but his laughter was completely halted when a beam of light shot forward feet above the cracked dirty ground and bended at certain points. It split between several and it hit a glowing light off in the distance. We began following the beam, although it remained hooked to my hand. The setting rapidly shifted and suddenly we were in a corridor, the beam shifted its path in order to not touch the walls.

The walls of the corridor looked made of a red stone, and it was lit by candles every so often. As we slowly made our way across the corridor, an ogreish monster appeared and immediately attempted to kill me. I punched, but my hand was repelled and I was struck by a monstrously large force, but Ryan absorbed most of the hit with his body. We got up and began running, and made our way past the ogre. After about an hour of dodging the monsters, and evading traps, we arrived at the destination.

Our setting rapidly shifted again and there was nothing but darkness. I began glowing green, and a blue figure that looked I assume was Ryan stood beside me.

The lights returned and all that I felt the same, although I was completely green other than my clothes. My Pac-Man shirt was glowing with arcane patterns, as were the rest of my clothes, and Ryans clothes were too.

A figure appeared that resembled me, but it glowed fully grey. Another appeared but glowed completely purple. They were exact copies of Ryan and I. Another figure showed up, resembling Justin, the contests host, and he had a fully black aura. He began speaking,
"This is your finished product. Only... different. Better. Having taken fragments of your soul, and placed them into these. You may return to the real world, but when you are ready, I shall unleash them upon your world, to keep balance. It will be...

The fight of your life.

The grey one rushed towards us, and then struck me in the gut. I felt a massive amount of energy drain from me.
"Aaron! I'll get him!"
Ryan said as he launched a punch, but the monstrosity dissolved. It's hands remained visible. It punched Ryan until he fell too. The setting changed, as all but the two of us dissolved. We were falling, and soon we were near Earth. We fell above the mansion, and we ended up falling through the ceiling without breaking anything. We both took deep breaths and then heard extremely loud cheers. It was familiar... like when we had died. I was surrounded by curtains, only my tattoo was back, and had 2 extra markings. The extra markings faded away and all that was left was my name, glowing in green. My curtain slid open and Justin was on the other side, along with my pet Turtwig, and his pet Boa Constrictor.

"We need to talk."
