2DS is a very good idea. Like, since Pokemon X and Y is coming out soon, Pokemon fans that doesn't HAVE a 3DS can get a 2DS. Like Pokemon fans transferring from DSi/DSLite to 2DS JUST to play a Pokemon game. That's basically why they released it October 12th with Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.

Apparently my older cousin doesn't worry about the age restrictions. Her 3 year old son has a 3DS. What's the big deal with the age restrictions anyway? What, will the 3d affects burn their eyes out or something?

In all honesty, 2DS sounds like a cash-grab. If the stupid 3DS hadn't been introduced in the first place, 2DS wouldn't exist because all the older models (DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSiXL) are ALREADY a 2DS, and companies could just as easily put AC: New Leaf, Mario games, and all that jazz on the existing, just-as-good systems.
In my opinion, Nintendo should have stopped after the DSiXL and focused more on their non-portable console systems, which were much loved before the DS's came along.
Then they need to do a lot of thinking on the next DS.

2DS is a joke. Its the freaking same thing but looks different and no 3D. Even though 3DS has 2D mode as well. So its useless. If a little kid had a 3DS use prenatal controls to turn off 3D!

2DS looks comfortable. Btw, why is Nintendo getting so much hate from everybody? All they are trying to do is please the fans. Some people cannot afford a 3DS, so Nintendo is helping by making the 2DS.
