Plus, do you really think Dash would be middle aged in the show and be friends with others around the age of 20-25? (Yes, this is likley in real life but this is a children's cartoon)

On the subject of pony ages, there's actually a video of analysis on their ages. If you want to skip straight to the age part it's at about 7:50.
(for 3ds people, it places them between 15 and 17.)
