In early 2011, I joined this website with the intention of having fun and that sort of general idea. I had no idea that I was going to be a moderator, nor that I'd actually be able to help out. (which I thank Robdeprop for many times).
Along the way, there has been some obstacles which haven't been very pleasant, but that is inevitable, in real. I'm not hugely one to make a fuss, and I try very hard to make everything fair - sometimes it's inevitable it goes wrong - when this happens another member of the team has informed me and I appreciate that. We are just human, I think (well I think I am anyway), so it is inevitable to make mistakes.
Such is life.
I must say I am really quite disappointed with SOME OF the community of 3DSPlaza nowadays.
Quick Bullet Points (Why?):
* Social Networking Sites - There has been lots of issues with people backstabbing use this methods. I have tried hard and far to protect others from this, even so more than myself maybe even per say, but until this sort of thing is stopped, there will be strict punishment for this, even without the normal amount of proof I normally demand.
* NO RESPECT. I am quite appalled to say the least, that for people like Robdeprop and myself, some of you show absolutely no respect. You may just be forgetting that we spent inevitably many hours working on 3DSPlaza for you. We spent a long time mastering the ropes, going back and fixing horrible bugs, porting it so you can still have a DSi version, trying to keep roleplaying on the site available for those that want it without causing bother to those that absolutely despise it, trying to make the experience enjoyable for people.
* Alternate Accounts - this is one thing I hate. I have spent lots of time trying to fend off these. I don't like to say it, but because of all the alternate accounts, I have had to make allegations dependant on what SEEMS to be true, not always IS true. This is an over-protective measure, and until the situation can be resolved, I will continue to use it.
( tip: if you think your account may be thought of as an alt, come tell me by PM. I'm always open apart from the times I close to stop spam ).
* False Accusations & Saddistic Blaming - I really dislike. These are everywhere and anywhere. If I think you are making these for your benefit, there will be sanctions [dependant on severity].
* #SomeLuigiShouldBeFired - Fits in to "NO RESPECT". I'm just going to add, if I was fired, half of 3DSPlaza may not even exist so to speak. You just think about that a second, and imagine you wouldn't even be able to post #SomeLuigi4Fire anymore...
* "I think I'm entitled to having this bug instantly fixed / feature instantly added / etc!!!" - I can't stand people like that. Making things take time, and I have a life to maintain, [ homework to do, exams to pass, games to play, friends to see, ... ]. I'm not saying it will never be fixed or added, I'm just saying, give me the time I need. I don't want to have to make you wait (infact I'd love to be able to do everything instantly!), but in life there are restrictions - it's inevitable. Also, I don't copy nothing from open source projects unless super required - or if it's an official API class required to interact something.
Oh, and remember, if I feel you are being mean to me one day, and you need my help/trust the next day, go remember "The Boy that Cried WOLF!"... yeah, I'm likely to show bias against your side, unless good reasoning presented. I have a good heart, I show respect, but I don't see much coming back, which may make me unhappy and then I might need to take actions directly on you... I'm approachable, but just approach in a civil manner.
I've been feeling this way for a long time, 3DSPlaza, and now I'm being absolutely serious. I don't ban for "no reason" or do other "reasonless actions"; if you make allegations of me doing so I'll put that under Lack of Respect and False Allegations.
Some people are awesome and all those fancy words, and that's why I'm still here. I ban ,etc for a necessity to keep the site clean, not because I find it fun(ny).
I now decided to place my work under Policy SomeLuigi.
