Go ahead and tell me what you think. Young, old, male, female, black, white, transgenders. No transexuals, transgenders. Is it wrong to be one? Do you think It's a choice? Do you think It's the same as being gày or lèsbian? Does it disgust you?

It's just "transgender" or "transgender person" not "transgenders".

Also I am a transgender person.

As long as you're a legit transgender person I'm supportive of you.

The only ones I hate who try to break into our community are those edgy transtrender Tumblr kids.

You know, the ones who were assigned female at birth, then say they're a demigirl..... No... You sound too edgy... "Oh I'm only half a girl because I like my hair short!" is pretty much how they are.

These assholes try to break into the transgender community and are the reason nobody takes us and our dysphoria seriously...

And when you tell these assholes this, they yell at you, saying you're scum, because you believe the transgender label is only, for um, people with body dysphoria....

Which is not the same as Body Dysmorphic Disorder and is also not the same as simply having a bad body image.

Being transgender is also not "technically a mental illness". Its a medical condition with the dysphoria being the main problem and to relieve that dysphoria, most seek items such as packers and binders and bras and do things (tucking) to help with dysphoria and to help pass as a cis person

Dysphoria in transgender people doesn't even just come in body (but that aspect is at least required to be transgender).

Most also have social dysphoria.

And to break all these things down:

Body Dysphoria show


This is the typical thing you think of when you think of trans people. It's an experience, no matter how large or small though, you must experience to be able to identify yourself as transgender.

Body Dysphoria is a disconnecting from your brain and body.

For example, I am a trans man.

I cannot go to explicit detail but.

With my chest, I constantly feel this, "That's not suppose to be there." feeling.

With my "down there" zone it's a "There's something missing" feeling.

I have other dysphorias too.

I hate how high my voice sounds a lot of the time. It happens especially when excited and when I notice it it kills me inside.

Dysphoria comes in many ways. It's anything that people will use to determine your gender, pretty much.

And while I desire a bit of an androgynous body, I absolutely cannot stand this.


Social Dysphoria show


Now this is actually way more simple.

This is basically the social aspects of "I don't want to be seen as my birth assigned gender."

But now, now. If you're non-binary, you must either present as male or female.

Because there isn't a role set for non-binary people so you can't really live it out socially.

Social dysphoria isn't required to be trans, only body dysphoria.

Because sometimes non-binary people will present as cis but either have too low of dysphoria to ever really transition of anything or other reasons

Honestly as long as someone's at least body dysphoric don't bother them about it.

Hell, I don't even bother the non-dysphorics because I know sooner or later they'll crack and realize how stupid they were.

^ Transgender and transexuals are different, no?

Transgender = Identifies with their opposite "gender role"

Transexuals = believes they are the opposite sex entirely

So a male transgender who is interested in boys would be considered gay....just because they act like and/or dress like a girl doesn't mean they are a female.

If he's transexual however, that would start a debate over whether or not he can actually change his sex (or if it's just changing appearance)/ be a different sex than what he was born as.

I think that you can't change your chromosomes. You still have an X/Y chromosome pair and thus a male genotype, but a female phenotype? I am really unsure about what they are identified as. (apart from what they want to be identified as)

Im a pre trans girl. I plan on getting my note to start E after i graduate, and eventually get the change. as Link said, as long as youre not a transtrender youre okay
