This is the kind of reason we have the grammar-mocking rule in place. The problem isn't just the new people, let's think about how WE were when WE were new, and how people reacted.

I'm sure many people broke rules too. Myself included on one or two bits.

Now a new person (I don't like the word noo comes in.

NewGuy: whoa this site is kwl

"Badass"Guy: Shut up noob, get some grammar -NewGuy

NewGuy: whoa whoa whoa, s c r e w you -badass

"Badass"Guy: No you! -NewGuy
"Badass"Friend1: Type rabbit child no space to get 500 points -NewGuy
"Badass"Friend2: Type yoshi team no space to get 500 points -NewGuy

If you ask me, that's a big difference. This is only so because WE, the community, make it so. This isn't all of us though.


Here's a sketch of a simple rule break:

Old Times ~~~

NewGuy: holy

OtherGuy: Hey, don't swear, there are kids on this site ^^ -NewGuy

NewGuy: oh, sorry, ill stop

New Times ~~~

NewGuy: holy *

"Badass"Guy: NOOB READ THE RULES OR SAY RABBIT CHILD -NewGuy

NewGuy: NO * YOU

I hope others will come to the realization of the differences between the two scenarios, and the reason the new users get aggravated and then continue to be noob-shamed.
