Applebucker is right. These days users are just creating the same old sites with no new aims. While it's good for gaining more knowledge of how it all works, the actual project is pointless when it comes to production.

If you offer something new then it won't look as repetitive and there would be a selling point (AKA a unique reason why they should use your service).
If there isn't a unique reason for it then there won't be much of a reason to hang around.
