Nemesis (2016-05-06 14:05:29)No, lol. They care for me. I'm fifteen, and I'm choosing on my own free will to get a summer job so I can be responsible and pay for my gas money and insurance (for my car, which is an old car we've owned for awhile), and whatever other expenses I'll need to pay. Just trying to slowly get into the swing of how it's going to be for the rest of my life.
Silverkun (2016-05-07 02:44:58)Get my citizenship if I can, but if I can't oh well, I'm a legal resident I'll live.
Save money to move down to Corpus Christi with my lover

I turned 17 last fall right when school started. Hardly any place around me will hire unless you're 18+, so I've resorted to fast food until next year. Also, my mom wouldn't let me work at an entertainment centre that hires at 15, for whatever reason. Considering I don't own my own car to drive, I can't just do whatever I want.
And yes, my parents actually stayed in school and invested the time and effort to get a good job so they can support their children. Did you know all I really need is food and clothing? Anything extra like video games or makeup or devices I've bought on my own from the money I've saved, or I've gotten it as a gift on my birthday. This really isn't out of the ordinary...if your parents stopped taking care of you the day you turned old enough for a work permit, I feel sorry for you, Nemesis.
