Actually, there is info of the new 3DS game. It's going to be a 2D sidescroller like the original Super Mario Bros. games, but with 3D models and 3D graphics. To further this, the domain "supermario4.com" was registered, which leads to believe that this will be a Super Mario Bros. 4. Also, by Christmas? Where did you get this info? Iwata hinted that it would be released during the next fiscal year, and that doesn't mean Christmas.

Also, I believe New Super Mario Bros. Mii was a demo game showing WiiU controls, not a retail game, because it would be stupid to resell New Super Mario Bros. Wii with Mii characters.

Also, this really isn't an event, more of an explanation of two games being created.

Yes, Super Mario Bros. Mii was just a demo of the Wii U at E3 2011. It is not going to be sold in any other form.

Plus, I don't think there'll be a Mario game for the 3DS in awhile.
