My 3DS just glitched

Hey,it's me. I was just playing KIU Solo,and i closed my 3DS. When i opened it back,it happened. It didn't come out of sleep mode. It wasn't on top of other DS's,and as far as i know,nothing was interfering with it. So i pressed and held the power button,and even then it took about a minute to turn off. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?

For the last dang time,it went into SLEEP MODE. OPEN. With nothing magentic running whatsoever.
