I recall pikarceus already having a topic about this, but I'm creating this one anyways.

When I went to the shop to get Super Mario 3D Land, I saw a mother with her children deciding which DS to buy. There were a few try-out 3DS' that the child played on. When he was done, they decided to buy a DSi, because they thought it was better than the 3DS: The kid thought the 3D effect was not so good, and they thought the 3DS and DSi were exact the same except for the 3D part.

Having seen this, I think Nintendo marketed the 3DS in a wrong way. They somehow made people think that it is exact the same as the DS(i) with an added 3D function, while in reality, the 3DS is much better than that.

It will probably change when the 3DS gains more popularity (I predict Mario Kart 7 will help with that) so the differences get clearer to more people, but still it's a shame.

Well, it's not just Nintendo, it's stupid people like the kid who would buy a dsi over a 3DS. I will be laughing my (beep!) off when they stop making DS games and the ignorant little fool can't get a 3DS.

Well 3DS is quite better than a Dsi. It has much new features than a Dsi. Also, there are many free things the E-Shop has to offer.

yeah I saw this happen in a game store
I nearly died the 3ds is better than the dsi
But I can't afford a 3ds or even a cheap dsigame

Poor mother.....seeing they bought a DS so late anyways will she buy a 3DS for her kid? And probably many people dont know that THIS IS THE NEXT GENERATION console!! Not just a regular DSi with 3D. And that dumb idiot coulda turned off the 3D. Wait whoa. I got ahead of myself there. Sorry kid. Your not a dumb idiot. NINTEDO IS!!!!!!
