I was just browsing around E-Bay when I found "NINTENDO 64 MINT CONDITION WITH PAPER MARIO", so of course I bought it. I have played Paper Mario so many times on my Wii, I haven't played a Wii disk in a year.

Weeks later, I opened the door to go to work and tripped over a UPS box. I ended up skipping work so I could use my Nintendo 64. I opened the box, and noticed that there was a black sticker over the logo on the system. Without any more scanning, I plugged it in and inserted Paper Mario...

And it started up directly from the title screen. It turns out the "Mint condition" was fake when I noticed:

File 1: Go
File 2: Away
File 3: This is
File 4: mine!

I deleted "Go" and created "TEST".

When I started up, it was normal. Until they got to Princess Peach's castle. They seemed to get kicked out, and nothing happened.

The TV turned off. When I turned my TV back on, it was at the scene where Goombaria finds Mario laying in the garden, but the floor was invisible. Right then, Mario fell through the... air and ended up in a pipe, leading back to Toad Town.

At this point, I was wondering what the hell was going on. So I pressed the power button on the console....

...and nothing happened. Now I was really wondering what was going on. I tried taking the AV cables out. No luck. I managed to get 'em out. Nothing changed.
