Here's my story.
It was a week before my birthday and I asked my mom to drive me to the Book & Music Exchange, and she said yes. So, I go in and find a Nintendo 64 for $30 with a free game. Without asking what game I wanted, the man at the counter gave me Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I had originally bought it for the Wii on the Virtual Consoles and it was the game that made me fall madly in love with The Legend of Zelda series. So, I rushed home and plugged it all up in my living room and turned on the game. I created my file in file 1(this is important!) and named it 'Gabriel', because I love using my real name in games. So, I do everything until I got to Gohma. I tried to hurt him, but nothing happened. Thinking it was a glitch in the game, I let him kill me and go back to him, but the exact same thing happened to me. So, I saved, turned off the game, had blown into it, and put it back in. I tried turning it on, but it wouldn't! When this happens, I let the game be for some time. Well, I went to the game and tried it again. I turned it on. It worked! I went to the save files. But, guess what. My file was no longer there. Here's how it looked like:
FILE 1: Happy
FILE 2: BDay
FILE 3: Gabriel
I looked at my brother and laughed, guessing that he was joking with me, but he had a weird look on his face, the kind that makes you feel like you're gonna die soon. So, I checked the first 2 files, both went to a blank screen and nothing else. The third, though, went to Inside Deku Tree's dungeon. It was the exactly the same as how I left it! To make sure, I went over to where you'd find the compass. I try to ignore it so finding things are harder for me, as I like a challenge. The chest wasn't open. I freaked out. I went over to Gohma's lair, but he wasn't there. Nor was the portal or the heart container. No way out. So, I turned around to look at the door, the screen went black. After a few seconds, it went back to normal? Nope! Link wasn't Link. He was Dark Link! Gohma appeared, but he was that same, metalic look as Dark Link. I killed him, left. Went into the town, everyone was like that. I, myself, loved the improvement! I saw it as Dark Link being freed from the Water Temple! Well, freed, wasn't the right word. The next week, I was in the hated Water Temple, going into the Sub-Boss area, expecting another Dark Link. There was no Dark Link... As I turned around, I saw him. Freed... that word echoed through my head. Freed wasn't the right word. Exchanged was. That person I saw, was the real Link. I killed him, but when i did, Dark Link fell, dead. Unfortunately, I had a fairy, which brought me back. The water, the mist, it was there. You know what happened? I was exchanged again. Captured, to live there, alone.
