I lost my stylus 1 week after I got my 3DS.

I almost never HAVE a stylus.
-My finger mostly
-A crotcheting needle
-Paper clip
-Pencil
-Pen
-Various chragers
I have scratched up and had to replace one screen cover, so I am more cautious with what I use now.
