It's about time we get a taste of our long waiting hopes and dreams of a Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remake. Today at a Gamefreak convention held in Koyko, they had just announced they have been in production in the new Hoenn remakes coming out for the Nintendo DS, perhaps the last base RPG Pokemon game for the DS.

They're official names will be named Pocket Monsters (Pokemon): Frozen Sapphire and Pocket Monsters: Flaming Ruby.

They also stirred some official box arts for both games.

These 2 new games will feature up to date Pokemon, and will include the Battle Frointer unlike the original versons. The engine will be the same as Gen 5, and all sprite animations will receive a nice re-done. These games have announced to be released in the Winter or 2013 in Japan. The NA date has yet to be revealed. Let's hope this will blow our minds.
