Wii U Review
luigi4thewin (2012-11-05 02:50:41)Sounds awesome,
Wonder if theres one at my local gamestop...
Does the controller feel like it will work well with fps's?
djl12328 (2012-11-05 20:50:24)I'm not exactly sure how it would handle for a fps. I'm pretty sure that any developer could find a way to pull it off though. -luigi4thewin

I already came up with a solution for my brothers and I. The don't get to touch it. -NerdAndProud
I'm pretty excited. I'm going back to gamestop today, to pick up Halo 4 at midnight with my brother. I get to play the Wii U again!

I just took a trip to gamestop today, and they happened to have a Wii U demo unit. So I thought I would write a small review of the console and controller, for those that have not had a chance to play a demo unit yet.
The Gamepad:
Wow, just wow. When I first grabbed the controller, I found that it was incredibly light. I would compare it to the weight of the xbox 360 controller. The A, B, X, and Y buttons, were very much like the DS Lite's buttons. The d-pad was also like that. The screen was very responsive, and I would say that it is even more so than the 3ds's screen. While the gamepad screen is not HD, the screen still looks very nice. I played rayman legends with the gamepad, and I can tell you that there was no noticeable lag at all when I was controlling Murphy.
The ZR, ZL, R, and L buttons ever all larger than I expected, but they were could be easily pressed, and were very easy to reach. The ZR, and ZL buttons were like the B button on the Wii controller. The gamepad also felt very nice to hold. It fit perfectly into my hands, and did not tire my wrists or hands from playing.
The Console:
The console was pretty sleek, and actually smaller than I thought it would be. It is about as wide, and as tall, as a vertical Wii. It was an inch or two longer than the Wii though. There's not much else to say about it. I couldn't lift it up, or touch it because it was in a plastic container.
Pictures:
Overall, Nintendo never ceases to amaze me. After 20 minuets of playing Rayman Legends withe my dad, I got to see what makes the Wii U so great. The gamepad has to be my favorite controller ever. Everything about the gamepad, was absolutely perfect. The graphics were phenomenal, and I could see the amount of power that the Wii U has.
