Overview:
Contra was a fast paced sidescrolling
shooter for the arcade it soon was ported over
to the NES With a few graphical changes.



Gameplay:

Contra consists of fast paced side scrolling
action you can play singleplayer or co-op
You start as a player equiped with a rifle
you most blast threw baddies on your way to
then end of the level which always has a fun
boss to fight. Each boss has a differnt difficulty and differnt ways to deaft them making the boss's one of the funnest parts of the game. One huge standout in this game is its massive
difficulty and with 3 lives you gotta have a itchy
trigger finger and cat-like reflex's. Luckly for you
you have a assortment of power ups to help you on
the way, They are

Machine gun
Laser gun
Spread gun
Fire gun
Rapid fire - increase firing speed
Barrier - temporary invincibility

There also is 3D levels that you must run towards
the background through different hallways blasting open the doors
and surviving the oncoming barage of
bullets and grenades.
This game get's better the more you play as you learn
strategys and get better. the game get's easier and easier
the more you play so it may be to hard at the start but
the more you put in the more you get out.

Controls:

A: jump
B: Shoot
Directional button's: Aiming and moving

Sound:

The game has A catchy sound soundtrack which really adds to the feel of the game.
but the game's sound mostly consists
of explosions and gun fire.
which both sound awesome and
realistic.



Graphics:

The games graphics are smooth
but a little dull and are
a step down from the original
aracade versions graphics,
but the animations
are extremly crisp and completly
make up for any other graphical issues. none the less the graphics look very nice and have a neat "Alien meets Rambo" look to them.


Story:

The game's main characters
are Bill Rizer and Lance Bean
They are sent to destroy the Red falcon
Organization that is planning to take over
the earth (They are aliens) The
Aliens have infected the soldiers
On a unamed South American island.

Conclusion:
This game is a fast paced fun masterpiece
the only flaw being its shortness and
its ridiculous difficulty.

Availability:
This game is sadly not available on the Eshop but you can get the original or use a emulator.
(You can get the arcade version on the XBOX360)

Not really, there were a fair amount of errors..

For the note...

Graphic's should be Graphics

's means it owns something, (ex: Greg's Shop).
s means plural.

In the case of it, it's means it is, where its means possessive. (ex: Its fur was fluffy BUT It's cool (it is cool))
