Hello. Welcome to The urban Legends of Video Gaming. This is where you can Discuss about this week's Urban Legend, in this case, Polybius, And Give your opinion on it.
Video Game Myth #1: Polybius
Polybius was a Video game cabinet in the 80's released only in the Portland, Oregon area. It was based on Vector Graphics, In a way, Like 3D Games, But still in the Polygonal stage, and A Black Background. It was a popular game, to say the least, as Lines so long, It went out the door, even Fights breaking out. What makes this creepy you ask? Well, after playing, Consumers Complained of hearing a woman's screams, as high as the original Lavender town Pitch. Plus, several Subliminal messages were seen regarding Secret U.S. Government plans. Even one person reported, after looking at the subliminal messages a bit, they were decoded to read "U.S. GOVERNMENT LUNCH WAR". What was awkward was that a month after Polybius was Released, all cabinets of the game mysteriously dissappeared in one day. Reports from consumers saw that certain men in black carrying a couple of the Machines...
So what do you think? Do you think Polybius was made by the Government itself? Who made the game exactly? Is this true? Discuss it below.
