Namco TV Games Review(s)
angelrulez7 (2012-12-25 09:37:24)I used to love Namco Museum DS, but the 3DS's lack of support for DS graphics tore me apart.

Let's start off with the oldest one I have. (My brother's old plug n' play)
Pac-Man
It is a decent plug n' play, but no samples were used, making a confusing plug n'play. Pac-Man's sounds are TERRIBLE. Dig Dug's sounds were more accurate, but MISH-MASHED all over the place. Rally-X used New Rally-X's song and the game is too fast. Map in gaming area? Yeah, that's a very great idea. (/sarcasm) Galaxian was just bad. Bosconian didn't have any voices.
I also have Ms. Pac-Man, a sequel to the one above.
All games: Galaga, Mappy, Ms. Pac-Man, Xevious, and Pole Position are perfect. No problems with games, but the joystick is 16-way. It should be 4-way.
I have another one, Retro Arcade Featuring Pac-Man. Same as Ms. Pac-Man. All games: Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus, Pac & Pal, Pole Position, Mappy, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Galaga, Bosconian, New Rally X, Super Pac-Man, and Xevious, are almost complete replicas of the arcade versions. Buttons are suppost to represent arcade ones, but the springs do not pop up immediatly.
Pac-Man Connect and Play:
Made by Bandai, it is AMAZING! It uses the original arcade codes. The library is Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus, Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Pac-Man 256, Mappy, Bosconian, Xevious, Galaga, Galaxian, Dig Dug, and New Rally-X. They play well. Although it has a 16 way joystick, Bosconian only uses 8-way. That's hard to play Pac-Man. Pac-Man 256 is awesome.
Overall, the first one was the only one I can't stand. The rest of them are GREAT!
