Not looking behind you isn't going to save you. That's like saying a killer won't get you when you can't see him.

Lookthing down is for wimps, and is probably going to get you killed. Get him behind a tree, then continue walking bawkwards. That way he can't move, and you're still not looking at him, in a way.
