Rumor: 3DS can be used as a second Wii U Game Pad
Ron1212 (2013-01-04 06:05:48).....you guys realize that you have to buy the 3DS itself first plus the cartridge and the Circle Pad Pro right?

Ron1212 (2013-01-04 06:06:27)Which would make a Gamepad itself a better alternative.

Ron1212 (2013-01-05 00:51:17)Yea, but not everyone has a 3DS. That means another Wii U gamepad is better and cheaper than using a 3DS. @Gamesaddict

Ron1212 (2013-01-05 01:34:52)Yea, but you have to buy the circle pad pro and that special cartridge, which would make it $200.
Anyways, I guess the gamepad has better graphics and is cheaper, but the 3DS does work as a device on its own.

pikarceus (2013-01-06 03:37:48)If it's streamed onto the 3DS, the image would be significantly compressed due to the lower resolution, but I would think most of the graphics would remain intact seeing as the 3DS doesn't actually have to due all the work, it's just streaming it from the U.
I mean, those Wii U vids on the eShop look great, even on the not-so-great-3DS screen, I would think the same thing would apply here.

@gamesaddictstill Cheaper than actually buying an actual wii u gamepad which cost ( in japan ) 130$. also cheaper than buying a useless psvita to use as an extra controller. Not to mention its still cheaper than buying a kinect set or psmove set seperately.
I find this good in a way. seeing the wii u visuals downgraded to roughly 240p-480p is goin is goin to hurt. But this will provide a cheap alternative to buying a second wii u gamepad when the system supports 2 wii u gamepads sometime later this year.
@nintendude you beat me to it
also wheres Ron?
