Argos: Oh that is too funny! I could imagine that happening. You would’ve made a really ugly lady though.

Soren: I still looked better than you!

Prologue
It is the third era on the planet Xerox and humanity is in a war against the demons.For hundreds of years the two races have been at war but since the resent loss of thier ruler Lord Neferium the tide has turned in the humans favor.
But small groups of people are afraid due to an ancient stone tablet in the uzara mountains tells of a grim fate for the humans.The tablet states that when the demon lord vanishes a greater evil will emerge to destroy the humans.After that the tablet is broken and only one word is visible that word is Fire.No one knows what it means but the fear of it more than the evil.Undiscovered across the planet is the seond part of the tablet foretelling of a great secret.This is a story of betrayal,loss,and brotherhood.This is the Demon Flare Chronicles.
We begin our story on a farm where two brothers Zero and Argos are about to have their lifes changed forever."Yo Zero I wanna rematch since you beat me yesterday,"called Argos."Admit it little brother you suck.I've beaten you 15 times straight give up,"mocked his older brother."Shut up! I will kill you next time we fight!""Whatever you say Argos,"
*knock knock knock*
"Dad!"Yelled Zero and Argos as the opened the door."Zero Argos I've missed you both so much,""Hey Dad is the war almost over?"Questioned Argos. "Yes son it is.I just wish your mom could see it.""Hey Dad are you going to be leaving again soon?"Asked Zero. "I'm afraaid I leave tomorrow mourning,""oh ok,"said Zero with a hint of sadness."Well it’s off to bed for all of us now.Good night,"
*several hours later A loud crash awakens Zero*
"Who's there?"Zero questioned to the doorway.Suddenly a shady Demon materializes innhis room."Hello Zero.Nice to see you."Said the demon. "Speak quickly Demon or leave now."Zero shaked out of his throat. "I only want to talk.So you've heard about the tablet in the Uzara mountains well most of us demons know a secret.To awaken the evil our king must die.But heres were your help comes.Our wise men have seen the fate of your father.He will kill the demon king therefore unleashing the evil,"explained the demon."Then what does that have to do with me?"Questioned Zero. "Kill your father and we keep our leader and no great evil.So will you kill your father?""...Yes...I will,"answered Zero.
*in Zero's dad's room.*
*Zero pulls out a knife* "I'm sorry father,"*Zero stabs and kills his father.*"Yes! Now the evil will awaken!" Cheered the demon. "Wha..."*Zero is surrounded by shadows as he transforms into a demon.* "how do you feel Zero?""Powerful?""Yes. Now you are the most powerful being in the world.""Feels good.You know being a demon king will suit me.So when do we get starte-"*Zero is slashed agcross his right eye leaving a scar*"Zero! WHY!?Why would you do this?!Whatever the reason I will kill you!"Screamed Argos.*Zero summons a blade and slashes Argos across his left eye*"Let that scars be a lesson and payback.Goodbye Argos I've got a world to destroy."*Zero and the demon vanish*"Zerooo! I WILL KILL YOU!"
Chapter One: sparks of a hero

*Argos stands infront of his father's grave*
Argos: I'm sorry I couldn't protect you Dad but I will kill Zero to avenge your death.
*Argos walks away from his home and heads to New Emerald City* *Argos sighs and sits in the back of the Starving Giant, the local tavern.*
Argos: How am I going to find Zero anyway? He could be in the underworld by now, and I can't go there without an army.
Stanger: Demons, death, and brothers oh my.
Argos: Oh my indeed...Who are you?
Stranger: Name's Soren local ex-paladin and adventurer.
Argos: Well my name is*Door slams open*
Guard: Soren you will have to come with me and my 4 friends. Soren: Well you must suck at math worst than me because you have 3 friends with you.
Guard5: Wha-*vanishes*
Guard1: Take him down!
*Soren is tackelled and is held down by guards 2, 3, and 4*
Argos: What did he do?
Guard1: He blew up a house wifh a burst of light.
Argos: Ok so one more question; do you want me to lend a hand?
Guard1: I guess soo-*Guard1's left hand falls off*
Guard1: Owww!
*Argos puts away his sword*
Argos: Here has this one.Now get out of here!
Gaurds1-4: Yes sir!*guards run out crying*
Soren: Thanks for the assist but those were just guard pretenters. So what’s your story kid?

Demon: Now Zero in order for you to become a demon you must share our blood so here*hands over bowl with demon blood*
Zero: I’ll do what ever it takes*Drinks*
*Dark energy starts to form around Zero until he cannot be seen through the blackness; when the darkness clears Zero is an elite class demon*
Demon: Nicely done.Now what are your orders sir?
Zero: hmm*angry*Find and kill my brother Argos!
Demon: Who do you want to send?
Zero: I don't care someone strong.
Demon: Yes sir.Shall I send in the spy too?
Zero: Yes whatever just gets it done?
Demon: Yes sir.*shouting to another demon*Go sent in the spy and Darcy*Demon 2 salutes and leaves*
Zero: Now remind me why you’re following my orders?
Demon: The ancient stone tablet says that the one that drinks demon blood and survives is ment to be the new demon king.
Zero: Ok.Now lets see what this army can do.

Soren: So whats your story about this brother I've heard about?
*Argos explains the death of his father and the betrayal of Zero*
Soren: So um can I slap that jerk through a wall when we meet him?
Argos: Sure but I'm going to do much more damage than that.
Soren: yay!
Argos: So I've told you my story whats the deal with you?
Soren:Well it all started when I was 5.Both my parents were killed by a demon girl.As I stood there with their bodies beside me I swore that I would kill as much demons as I could.So one day when I was 13 the grand master of the paladin order took me in.After I told him my story he decided for me to become a paladin.After 5 years of that the incident happened.It was a dark and stormy night and what I mistaked for a group of demons was actually a inocent family traveling.So I was stripped of my title and tossed out.So now I just wander around from city to city to find a new hope to avenge my parents.But no one will take me.
Argos: Well pack your bags because you’re coming with me.
Soren: Really?
Argos: Yeah your paladin skills are going to be helpful.
Soreen: Thank you man.
Argos: No problem.

Argos: So what should we do about Zero?
Soren: Well first we'd need an army so lets head over to the paladin tower I might be able to get there help but only if the writer lets me be a main character.
Argos: You are not stealing my role in this story.
Soren: But...
Argos: I will kill you with a rusty Spork if you try to take my spot.
Soren: fine
Argos: Letsa go!
Soren: Argos you’re not Mario

Soren: That’s’ three *takes out myserious greatsword*
Argos: *pulls out sword* show yourself Demon!
*a little girl walks out from behind some bushes*
Argos: Hey little girl what’s your name?
?: Darcie
Argos: Well you better run home there's a demon out here.
Soren: Argos move!
Argos: it’s just a little girl see?
Darcie: You should listen to your friend Argos >: )
*Darcie's hand turn into black claws as here eyes go pitch black as here head flips upside down upon so she opens a second mouth which is filled with sharp pointed teath*
Argos: Oh crap.
Darcie: Now come meat my firends*darcgie opens a portal and out come three demons in armor*Looks likewe're going to have a playdate.
Argos and Soren: Let’s do this!
*Warning extreme vilance*
Darcie: Time to play go have fun my friends.
*the first demon does a quick lunge at Argos but Argos side steps avoiding the blade then doing 3 quick slice through the demon*
Argos: You wanna play? Then you’re going to have to do better than that.
Darcie: Ok then >: ) *summons 8 more demons*
Soren: Ill take and the first have youcan get the others
Argos: whatever
*3 demons charge at soren but he ducks under the first sword flips that demon over and sticks a knife in his back.Next one lunges soren dodges gets up and breaks that demon's arm
and uses the demon's own sword to cut it in half.
The 3 demon trys to sneak up behind soren but before the demon can strike soren turns around and blasts the Demon with a light beam*
Soren: Yo did you see that they just got pwned!
Argos: yeah kinda busy here
*Argos runs up to 2 demons jumpss up in the air and land on the first demon's shoulder and sticks a kunia in his neck the flips over behind the second demon and kicks him in the back then moves around to the front of him and does and upper cut sending him into the air finally he lays his sword sticking up on the ground were the demon falls onto it.*
Darcie: Demons combine to form a giant!
Soren:: oh come on we just killed what five demons and you change the rest intoa giant?! Unfair!
Darcie: Well demons dont play by your rules human we make our own.
Argos: Let’s just kill this giant soren
Soren: Right!
*Argos runs around to the back of the giant and climbs along its back while soren is sending out blasts of light at the giant*
Demon:Graa!!
Soren: Argos now!
*Argos puts his sword in the demon and slides down its stomach cutting it*
Darcie: NO!
Soren: Yes!
*the giant demon explodes oponArgos taking his blade out*
Argos: Eww! Demon guts DX
Soren: Just you and us Darcie.Give up!
Darcie: Well your wrong soren you arent in fighting condition.
Soren: Wha-*Soren is pushed back into the air by an explosion*
Soren: ughh
Argos: Soren!
Darcie: Mwha ha ha ha ha! Just you and me kid. Good bye*Darcie sends fireball at Argos*

*A giant explosion erupts when the fire ball hit him leaving a small crater were Argos was standing*
Darcie: Oh well I wanted to play with him more. >: )
Soren: No...
*A wall of fire erupts from the sides of the crater clearing the dust.As the fire wall dies down a figure can be seen floating above the crater*
Darcie: Whatis this?!
Soren: WTF!
Argos: Im sorry Darcie but it's my turn to play with you now.*A giant fire ball forms over Argos's head*
Darcie: I know that at this new rate I'll lose so We'll play again some other time.Bye>*Darcie desappears*
Argos: Dang it*fire ball fizzles out ashe floats down*
Soren: I thought you were dead! How did you do that?
Argos: I honestly don't know but it will help out in our fights if I learn to control it.
Soren: Ok let’s get to the paladin tower ASAP.
Argos: Let’s go.
Chapter Two: Dreams of Darkness

Argos: Ok I don’t know about you but I think we need to set up camp for the night. It is getting dark out after all.
Soren: Ok let me just check in my bag for a tent or something. *Soren searches through his bag and begins to pull out items while Argos makes a fire*
Soren: Ok I found a map.
Argos: Good save it for later.
Soren: Here’s my teddy bear.
Argos: You have a teddy bear?
Soren: NO!*tosses the bear into the flames*
Soren: Here’s a picture of your mom.
Argos: My what?
Soren: Nothing!*tosses picture into the fire* Here we go! Two tents. Oh look! It’s my blanket from when I was 5.*Soren snuggles with the blanket*
Argos: Ok….. I’m going to ignore that just hand me a tent and let’s get some sleep.
Soren: Whatever you say.
-Later that night in Argos’ dream-
Argos: Were am I?
Voice: We know where you are Argos and it’s too late. While you rest my power grows higher than you can imagine! Just give up I killed father and you and anyone who follows your quest against me shall DIE!
Argos: I know this is just a dream. You can’t scare me!
*A dark cloud appears in front of Argos*
Zero: Oh you are very wrong dear brother. For this is not just a dream. With my new powers I can communicate with you through dreams. Now brother what is your plan?
Argos: Oh well I was thinking about killing you and then go buy a fat donkey and name him after you and kick it every day in your honor.
Zero: You’re afraid of me Argos. You’re afraid of my power. I’ll kill you just like our Dad but I’ll make all your pathetic friends watch!
Argos: Then stop hiding you jerk and come fight me yourself!
Zero: In due time brother but for now I must leave ta-ta.
*the dark cloud vanishes and in its place floats a red orb*
Argos: Well apparently I must have eaten something because this dream keeps getting weirder.
Orb: Shut up and listen you idiot. I’m here to give you some very important information.
Argos: Yeah and I’m going to be able to throw fire balls as fast as a machine gun.
Orb: You might once you can learn to use your fire.
Argos: Awesome!
Orb: Ok let me show you something.
-The dream landscape changes into an old temple with a broken sword floating above a pedestal-
Orb: Argos for the sake of mankind you must find a way to repair this sword. It has the key to defeating the evil that consumes this world.
Argos: Where do I find it?
Orb: I can’t say but I’ll give you a hint, there are two places where it all began the key to the end will be found in both only to be an empty vessel. Only the purest of light can weld the two shards.
Argos: and that means what?
Orb: continue on your quest the Fates will make sure you will find them.
Argos: Well the Fates took away my dad and turned my brother into a demon
Orb: they didn’t mean to. The final battle was prematurely started they ultimate evil shouldn’t be awaken for another 100 years.
Argos: So I get forced into this mess by the gods because someone messed up?
Orb: yes!
Argos: Is this story purposely making sure that all the odds are against us?
Orb: Just wait until book 2
Argos: I won’t get a break from this stuff will I?
Orb: Ok enough questions time to wake up!
Chapter 3: the paladin Tower

Zero: I knew you would fail you useless little girl!
Darcie: But master Zero -
Zero: Silence! You have angered me already did you at least get any information on him?!
Darcie: Yes they're going to the paladin tower near the Golden Wildwoods. Plus your brother Argos was hit by my fire ball but he seemed unaffected and threw it back at me.
Zero: Control fire....He's never been able to do that before...Anything else?
Darcie: Yeah he's traveling with a man named Soren he was a paladin.
Zero: SO brother you got help and you control fire. Ha! That won't save him.
Darcie: What are you going to do to do with me?
Zero: I'm going to rip you from existence until your needed.*portal opens*Get out of my sight!
Darcie: Yes sir*Darcie enters the portal and it closes behind her*
Zero: Servant! Send a squad of demons to the paladin tower and someone a least halfway decent to lead them.
Servant: Yes my lord Zero.
Zero: Now dear brother how will the paladins help you if they're killed by demons.

Argos: are we there yet?
Soren: Argos no!
Argos: fine....So what does the tower look like?
Soren: well its a giant tower with 10 floors with a giant platform on top
Argos: Is it surrounded by demons and in a state of destruction?
Soren: No why do you ask?
Argos: Cause we're here and it is surrounded by demons and in a state of destruction
Soren: For the love of -
Argos: Soren, No time for talking lets go.
Soren: I hope there's survivors.
=In tower courtyard-
Argos: Well lets fight our way in.
Soren: Use your fire whatever to toast the group at the entrance.
Argos: Uhh I don't know how to control my fire. Sorry.
Soren: Fine,lets just sneak in through the back.
Argos: But we can take them!
Soren: ok then FYI check that demon over there,the one that the others seemed to be scared of well that's Entreri. Now I don't remember why at the moment but the other demons are afrid of him and with good reason. So we sneak around back and hope we don't meet him ok?
Argos: Fine...
Soren: come on,the back door is over here.
-Paladin tower: Main hall-
Soren: Lets search this tower top to bottom.
-Tower floor-
*Argos and Soren are exploring the area when they hear a moan coming from upstairs*
Soren: Come on judging by the sound the noise came from floor three.
Argos: How do you know?
Soren: I have no idea!
*At the third floor Soren and Argos find a body under some rubble. after removing rubble from the body Soren runs to the far corner of the room*
Soren: Argos run!
Argos: What is it a demon?
Soren: Worst!
Argos: Who is it my brother?!
Soren: Even worst!
Argos: Who?
Soren: My sister!
Argos: Seriously? -_-?
*Soren's sister rises from the rubble*
