Today, most of Nintendo's fans watched in awe as Nintendo showed off its brand new games. Here's what was announced:

-The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Reborn.It's the original game totally revamped like Ocarina of Time 3D
-Nintendo confirmed they are working on a new 3D title for both the Mario and Zelda franchises.
-Mario Kart for Wii U confirmed. Gameplay will be shown at E3.
-After Kirby's Epic Yarn, Nintendo is now making Yarn Yoshi
-Wii Fit U communities introduced, where friends can talk with each other in groups and share weight plans and stuff.
-Two system updates for the console will release in the spring and summer. It'll include all the announced features and stop freezing issues and long loading times.
-Pikimin 3 info revealed. There's a new feature using the Wii U gamepad which allows a "cinematic" photo to be taken and shared on Miiverse.
-Wii U Party revealed, introducing new ways to use the Gamepad and Wii Remote together.
-Screenshots for the new Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS will be shown off at this year's E3
-An RPG mash-up was revealed, featuring both Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei.
-The people who created Xenoblade for the Wii are making a new game for the Wii U.
-New trailers shown for games like Bayonetta 2 and the Wonderful 101
-Virtual Console for Wii U revealed. NES and SNES games will be available for the same price as on the Wii, but people who bought the classic games already on the Wii can get a reduced price for an enhanced Wii U version.
-Nintendo is making one NES or Super NES game available each month now through July at the anniversary price of just 30 cents. It had already started with Balloon Fight. You can go download the game for cheap right now.
-Miiverse is coming to smartphones this spring.

Why would it be available to 3DS too? Wii U will have more NES/SNES titles anyways.

The promo is just for improving Wii U with more games to make the console more popular. 3DS is popular enough. I won't be suprised if Nintendo doesn't announce any major titles for it any time soon.
