If you transfered over your Wii virtual console games from your old Wii to your Wii U and you are planing to play repurchase them to play on the gamepad, you wont be able to do so. Wii virtual consoles game save data won't be transfered to the new copy of the one on your Wii U menu. Meaning you will have to start all over again when you re-purchase it.


In other words: Wii Virtual Console saves won't be compatible with Wii U Virtual Console titles.

Nintendo recently confirmed this with an interview with Kotaku

this topic has to do with the saved data from the game( your progress in the game). Im not talking about the price
