Blazestar's secret

(this story took place before the battle between blazestar and sparkstar)

the dark red tabby she-cat woke up with a start in the middle of her den. she didnt quite exactly remember why she woke up feeling fear in her heart. slowly getting up out of her den, the nightclan leader veiwed her campground where every cat was still asleep and it was too early for the dawn patrol. her limbs ached and she padded down the great rock onto the mossy floor of the clearing. something didnt seem right. the confused leader couldnt remember why she walked down and not back to her den. a moment later her limbs ached and felt as if she were being pulled forward and toward the entrance of the camp. IT felt as if something or someone was controlling her but she didnt understand it. padding into the dark gloomy forest, the chill of the night traveled through the leaves. the stars were clouded. Starclan wasnt active tonight. her limbs ached once more and the red she-cat was pulled forward into the forest and into a lightless cave and she was blinded as she halted in front of a flaming stone that was familiar to the Moonstone but blazing with fire instead of light.
a cool wind breezed throughout the cave that made the nightclan leader's fur bristle.

"who's there!?" she hollered into the air not expecting a response.

"why do you bring me here?" the red tabby knew that there was someone in this cave besides her.

she calmed her muscles and stood patiently.

"dear Blazestar." a booming voice echoed through the blind dark cave.
a sudden burn occured in her body. for a moment, she thought one of her lives were being taken away. a loud breathing sound exited her mouth and stood right in front of her. blazestar did not feel anything after but just stared at the large tiger shaped figure among her.
"w-who are you..." she breathed in shock

"I am your spirit. a part of one of you nine lives." he boomed

blazestar stood silent. only gazing at the majestic feline. it had dark stripes flowing down his pelt like scars. its claws were huge and curved and had blades at the ends of each paw on the back and spikes on the tip of his tail. the creature's eyes blazed red with fire like a starclan cat's shined with stars.

"I am inside you. and i will be with you when you battle sparkstar. but beware. he holds the power of the Dark wolf. and YOU bare me; the Blazing Tiger in your paws." he warned

"but...how did you come into my presence? how did i ever get such a power in MY paws?" lowereing her head, she mewed in frustration.

"when your ancestors gave you your ninth life, they gave my life to you. remember..."

a sudden flashback rose into blazesatr's mind.

[nightstar]"with this life, i give you life of bravery and fearlessness. use it to trust your self when you are in deadly battles.."

the flashback cleared away.

"that life was me...he told you to trust ME when you face in deadly battles...." he started. his last words echoed from the walls of the caves.

"Blazestar...i want you to make a promise to me...always use my spirit for good. i cannot control how you use me. starclan will be angry if you use my power for evil." his voice turned sofer and he bent down to the red she-cats height to lick her ear. "make a promise...quickly blazestar"

all Blazestar was thinking is how SHE was the one to hold a great power in only her paws...

"i-i promise.." she whispered.

the Tiger's Spirit stood straight.
"good...now..go face Sparkstar, for he has broken the starclan's code." his loud voice echoed once again. and started to fade and the red color of the stone faded with it. it became nothing but a whisp of flame that dissappeared as well into her mouth and into blazestars heart.

*i will be with you blazestar...* it was the Blazing Tiger's spirit that spoke to her.

*i will guide your paws*

Blazestar turned out of the cave and returned to her den as she lied down, knowing that the blazing tiger's spirit was still among her.

the dark red she-cat closed her eyes and drifted to sleep...
