But yes, he most likely ragequitted because of that, or because he thinks you weren't worth the time (Starters are pretty weak bro.)

And yes, battles in which a player is disconnected count as a win for the opposing player.
Not really "weird", per se. But, noteworthy. Most Japanese players, as far as I know, respect the online battle community (the GBU), and don't disconnect because of a weakness.

Yesterday, I had a battle versus a japan dude and I just started the battle and guess what? He actually QUIT for no reason whatsoever. Is it because he's underleveled or he thinks I'm pro? Well, he sent out Scizor and I sent out Emboar. That battle gave me a win. Weird.
