Get a PS3. It's better. You have to pay for X-BOX Live. Playstation Network is free. The PS3 is less likely to suffer problems such as breaking down, while X-BOX has a higher rate of malfunctions. And the PS3 has an amazing collection of exclusives like inFAMOUS, LittleBigPlanet, and many more. Overall, PS3 is better.

X-Box 360 has sold more, so more of your friends more likely have an X-Box. The X-Box is better than the PS3, and althought the online isn't free, it's still much better. Trust me, I've tried both.
