That's inaccurate.

Pokérus can't be caught from the Wild Pokemon, you have to actually find an infected Pokemon and capture it. Pokerus also doesn't simply disappear, at midnight, the Pokerus counter loses 1 point. When that counter hits 0, the infected Pokemon can no longer pass it on.

The odds of finding a Pokerus is extremely low, and there is no indication of it being infected.

I got Pokerus early on, from a Darumaka on Route 4.

I have the weirdest luck, because almost all the pokemon I had gotten in SS before the ending, had pokerus.
