Today I will be reviewing Sonic 3D Blast for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Not the Saturn version. In other countries, it is Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island. (I don't see the point of Flickies, Flicky was an AWFUL game)
So, the storyline is basically that Sonic goes to Flickies' Island to visit his friends, Tails and Knuckles. He notices the massive amount of Robots/Badniks with Flickies in them. So he has to free them and, once again, stop Robotnik.
I'd say, rather that Megakid's review, the controls aren't bad, unless on the phone. (I actually own Genesis classic collections for the Gamecube and XBox, I've never played a Genesis before) The sprites for Sonic are bad, Knuckles is too boxy, much like the artwork, and Tails reminds me of Dixie from Donkey Kong Country, for he looks like a girl. The "SEGA!!" scream is just a very comical advertising thing, which was used until Sonic Mega Collection for the Gamecube. The game's idea is very bad. You need at least five Flickies to unlock the big ring. Might as well download Sonic 3D: No Flickies' Edition. Much better. Also, the 1-up sound is from Sonic & Knuckles, which points at their laziness. The music is based off of Sonic 3/ & Knuckles.
So, in all, don't play the game. -2 rating from the AR7.
