angelrulez7(2013-03-19 07:08:11)This game doesn't even deserve to have a centered review and a picture. It's that bad.
Somari is a Nintendo Family Computer System (Famicom) game that was never officially licensed. It didn't name a company. It just went straight to SOMARI TEAM PRESENTS and then the title screen.
Title Screen Rythms:
Sonic 1: DUM DUM DUM DUM Do do do DOO doo doo doo do do dooo dooo do do do do dododo wrrrrr
Somari: SMASH SMASH SMASH SMASH Du du du du duuuuuu du duuu du duuu du duuu duuu du du du du duuuuuu duuuuuuuu
(Try doing it)
The music was terribly off key. Bass/Music may become off sync as well. C'mon, this could of been better than Sonic 1 for the Genesis with the NES's sound chip.
Green Hill Zone: Act 1 is already hard. There is an inescapable spike pit. God, that music.
Marble Zone: Grass sets on fire once on screen, and when under ground, you can barely see the spikes!
Spring Yard Zone: Some parts GOD KNOWS HOW HARD. God, that music.
Labyrinth Zone: To be tested.
Star Light Zone: Hard, again. God, that music.
Scrap Brain Zone: To be tested
Final Stage: Wrong music, too hard.
Bonus Stage: Possibly the only easy thing in the whole game; Master System Style.
This actually spread to various Sonic theme hacks:
Sonic the Hedgehog (NES) - Marketed to trick people to think Sonic was on the FC. Starts on Spring Yard Zone.
Sonic the Hedgehog 5 - Exact same game, just different cartridge.
Sonic & Knuckles 5 - Same as the above with a different title screen.
Sonic 3D Blast 5 - Sonic the Hedgehog all over again.
Sonic 3D Blast 6 - Uses Sonic & Knuckles 5 title screen music. The title and start screen look very much like Sonic 3D Blast; may have been sold to make people think the game would be different; Starts at Marble Zone; Sonic has more animation and is actually able to move. (Not sure if marketed)
Mario/Sonic can actually Spin Dash, a feature not added until Sonic the Hedgehog 2. But until Sonic 3D Blast 6, it wasn't very effective. Mario actually wears Miles "Tails" Prower's shoes, while Sonic doesn't.
Were these marketed to make people think each one would get better?
Well, they're all junk.
The sound chip sucks.
Projectiles fly out of enemies that don't even have any, and they come out EVERY TWO SECONDS.
