Pikmin Nightmare
OtherSilhouette (2013-03-26 14:21:45)The Pikmin on the beast lightly tapped it, awakening it, showing its pupil-less, literally clear, eyes. It stood up, the Pikmin on its head, smiling from ear to ear, trying to laugh.
The Pikmin slid into the beasts mouth like a thief, as quiet as ever, and pushed it open.
It playfully created a show. It leaned on its shard teeth, walking around them, finding the sharpest one. To my amazement, it leaned in on it, and before my eyes, suicided as the tooth jagged in through its heart, ripping its chest open as the blood went down on the tooth, staining it.
The Pikmin at Olimar's sides had the biggest smiles on theirnfaces as if they longed to be in the dying Pikmin's position. They bobbed their heads crazily, and Olimar, helplessly, tried to fight back their grip.
As the tooth went completely through the Pikmins' chest, and the purple fog resembling a skull raised from its body, it entered the beasts nostrils.
What happened next was unbelievable. The beast licked its lips, and started throwing up blood. It grew triple its size, and it grew more and more teeth until its mouth was full of them. Its webbed feet grew clws aswell, and it ran in Olimars' direction, and the screen went dark.
Next was a picture of Olimar. Helmet broken, stained with blood. One eye rolling down his face, falling into his drooling mouth. Missing a leg, limbs at his sides, and three bloody holes in his chest from the beasts teeth.
Letters appeared, reading:
"YOU HAD A CHANCE TO COLLECT THE MONEY, 2 DAYS. BUT SECRETLY I KNEW THE SECOND DAY YOU WOULD NOT BE HERE"
And an image of the remaining limbs and the skeleton of Olimar's boss appeared.
After that, there was terrible images. Indescribable. Of Pikmin doing the most grousom things, eating eachother limb by limb, laughing, while the Spectrum changed as fast as lightning.
That night, I awoke in a pool of sweat. How I got there, I don't know, but for months later I went to therapy. I could see, just barely, make out the figure of the demented Pikmin across the hall or through the window. The disk I burned when the therapist, who I told I was seeing something else (not wanting anyone else to know about my experience), classified me as "Stable", but I just don't fight it anymore. The truth is, I see them every day, more and more often.

So lately i've been playing alot of simulation games. Things like Animal Crossing, The Sims, Fire Emblem. But there was one particular game I desired to play. Pikmin. As I saw on Gamestop, I could get it for twenty for my Wii. But on ebay, I could buy it for twelve bucks, a smooth deal. Of course, I wanted the best deal and whatever, and ordered it. It seemed ledgit enough. "Nintendo Select: Pikmin 2". The image showed the disk in the box. Of course, I just had to go buy it.... Boy, do I regret that....
A week later, while I was watching television in the living room, I hear a thud from the east wall. Mail. Through the slot, I obtained a slim folder. On the package, awkward enough, was only MY information, but nothing as to where the seller lived if I needed to return it or the source of my purchase. So I opened the flap, and took out a single disk, an ordinary disk, I swear I could have used to save an MP3 file on.
On the disk, in permanent marker, was written "Pikmin". I could only think one thing: "What the
A week later, still slightly bummed, I was playing Fire Emblem as Pikmin stood ontop of the folder to the side on my Wii. Oh, how I longed to play it. I was playing Fire Emblem for the damn 3rd time! I had read reviews, watched gameplay videos, read walkthroughs, and viewed screenshots on Pikmin, and I had an ever desperate need to play it. As my blow finished off the enemy in Fire Emblem, a thought occured to me: Why not?
But I couldn't risk it. What if my Wii crashed? I know, call me stupid, but my desire was stronger. I carefully replaced Fire Emblem with the most probably bootlegged game of Pikmin. Surprisingly, the option of playing it came out. But it wasn't entirely correct. the image showed a Pikmin leaning as its flower, longing for water, fell back on its head. The title? I quote: hJ7DSKpkmnR642. What? Trembling that my Wii might crash, I pressed "Start".
What followed were a few minutes of a black screen. Meanwhile, I trembled, thinking of the cost of a repair, or a new Wii, would be. But then, a blue glowing began and the title, inscribed by black, red, and grey crumbled flowers, read "Pikmin Nightmare".
The thought hit me right away: thats not right. I ordered Pikmin 2, not some other lousy title! But like a mesmerized baby, I pressed A.
Next up was an image of an animated, fat man in a torn tuxedo with few hair tied up on a chair. His ginormous, Olimar-like nose was stained with red. One of his eyes were purple, and, as I looked closer, a scar ran from the side of his neck into his tux.
Fat blue letters wrote beneath the image:
"Olimar! Help! I am being held capti-"
The interruption was of a brown object in the background, possibly a bat, striking him on the back of his head, making him fall.
Red eyes shaped like long triangles in the background twinkled.
"Listen, you useless piece of
There was a brief second, as the image and message were cut in half and replaced, then static, and then more darkness.
I knew, definitely now, this game was hacked. But curiosity got the best of me.
Next, a white triangle flew around a big circle, until eventually it hit it. I guessed it meant landing.
Now, more natural-like and with better graphics (definitely), I saw the S.S Dolphin land in a circle of trees. It was night time. Strange. I remembered night time was inacessable. But then I remembered this was a hacked version.
Moving the nunchunk, I made Olimar move into a circle of grey lights. I pressed A to examine, but ended up plucking it. A Pikmin! A cutscene played out as Olimar, pulled out a grey figure, about twice the size of a normal Pikmin, making it slightly taller than Olimar.
It had red eyes in its peculiar yellow eyelids, a scar rather than a mouth, making it seem although it had been stitched together, and instead of a flower, there was nothing. The tip ended with a hint of red.
After plucking three more, I moved deeper into the forest. The Pikmin were swift, keeping up unlike, I had heard, in normality. It almost seemed as if Olimar was scared of them, moving to the side as they embraced him, their stitched mouth smiling as their red eyes glinted, and their skin seemed to turn darker.
Eventually I came across one of those red/prange beasts in a slumber. I took a Pikmin and tossed it.
Another cutscene occured.
This time, the Pikmin refused to cause harm, and landed like a feather on the beast's head. It looked straight at Olimar, as the other two Pikmin, at his side, grabbed his arms, not letting go. Olimar sweat heavily, moving his head from side to side.
