angelrulez7(2013-04-29 16:56:07)We may all know that the NES has 72 pins, different from the 60 pin Famicom cartridges. As I've done some research, I've found that official converters have been made and stuck into ROB the Robot compatible games on the NES instead of porting it on to 72 pins.
Gyromite may have the converter or may be ported. You might as well take this as a no.
But Stack Up actually included these in every copy. You could take the cartridge and open it, take out the converter (ONLY TAKE OUT THE TOP AND BLACK PART), flip the converter over, insert your Famicom game in backwards, and if you're lucky, you've just made your own official converter.
TIPS:
Black chip shall ALWAYS face you on top loaders.
You may want to peel the label off of an NES cartridge (probably the Stack Up cart), saw off the top, and screw the converter back in (without Stack Up on top), and close the cartridge back together. This may ensure that you don't break it trying to pull it off of the top loader.
Who needs to know this when the RetroN 5 is coming?
Because 4 isn't enough...
BTW, here's a picture.
(Research only, I haven't tried this myself, for I do not own ROB, Gyromite, Stack Up, or any Famicom carts. But the custom cartridge is my own idea)
