Linear vs. Free Roaming

What do you guys think?

Overall, I prefer free roaming/open world, as there is usually more to do and it just feels more fluid when it comes to 100%ing the game.

One thing I do like about linear though is that the story tends to be a lot tighter.

I tend to get lost a lot in free roam games. I'm no good with maps.

Both are pretty good, but I'd say free roaming.

Linear then. I really don't like free roams.

The only game that I've seen done right is Pac-Man World 2 for free roam.
