1. Take out your gamecard and stylus
2. Turn off your console

3. Bang L & R buttons on a table gently

4.Blow in the holes , If you tend to spit when you blow then use a toothbrush

5. turn your console on and now press them .

There is no spring in shoulder buttons off any ds console they're strings.

That is not a reliable source , springs were only on the gameboy consoles.
